and adapt to changing environments and circumstances as part of business process improvement
efforts. The strength of blockchain technology lies in its usage as an apt technology to enhance
the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes; furthermore, it prevents the use of erroneous
or obsolete data and allows sharing of confidential data securely. The use of superior technology
in the execution and automation of business processes brings opportunities to rethink the specific
process itself as well. Business processes modeling and verification are essential to control and assure
organizational evolution, therefore, the aim of this paper is three-fold: firstly, to provide business
process management patterns in finance, based on blockchain, specifically for the loan-application
process in the banking industry and claim process in the insurance industry that could be used
and customized by companies; secondly, to critically analyze challenges and opportunities from the
introduction of such approach for companies, and thirdly, to outline how companies can implement
the loan business process as a web service. Partner companies (a bank and an insurance company)
formulated the potential requirements for M2P along with the application of blockchain technology.
An experimental design framework was established that gave the necessary services to model the
requirements, check the models, and operationalize the models. The applied research methodologies
are as follows: design science research paradigm and software case study, model-to-programming
(M2P) of business processes, and utilization of patterns of workflow and blockchain.

Earth drone and spectral mobile mapping technologies can provide plant production-related measures with high temporal and spatial resolution. Remote sensing helps better understand farming patterns and crop management. Improving understanding of the link between remotely sensed data and risk assessment and management in "smart farming" is very important. Controlled-environment agriculture takes advantage of light recipes, related to spectral light-emitting diode (LEDs) and sensors. In livestock farming, analyzing a database of digital data on the environment and livestock individuals can help farmers make decisions better. The heterogeneous digital data from plant and livestock production are collected into a Data Lake. Then the data are processed to transform the data into the proper format for data analytics. Data Warehouse should be integrated into an ERP system that is dedicated to the agricultural environment.

will be able to create a human-tailored Cognitive Information Systems (CISs). The necessity for this
research is supported by the fact that present business decision makers are faced with challenges that
they cannot solve in the time available without CIS. Here, the aim of the authors is to underpin the
adaptability of cognitive resonance and the role of the info-communication via Human–Computer

the effectiveness of the Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), that leads to an improved CIS building
with a higher cognitive level. The applied research methodology consists of research analyses and
an assessment of the available publications to pursue a comparative study pattern; then, a model
building paradigm has been used for observing and monitoring the work with a CIS during HCI.
We found a huge gap regarding information processing in the recent literature, that has been caused

On one side, a business document (word processing text or calculation sheet) can be used as specification tool, on the other side the business document is an immanent constituent of business processes, thereby essential component of business information systems. The recent tendency is that the majority of documents and their contents within business information systems remain in semi-structured format and a lesser part of documents is transformed into schemas of structured databases. The semi structured documents can be stored and processed in the modern database management systems, in compliance with the requirements of business processes. In order to keep in hand the emerging situation, we suggest the creation (1) a theoretical framework for modelling business information systems; (2) and a design method for practical application based on the theoretical model that provides the structuring principles. The modelling approach that focuses on documents and their interrelationships with business processes assists in perceiving the activities of modern information systems. The interrelationships between documents-centric modelling, the Enterprise Architecture and systematic approach for design provides an opportunity for a unified modelling.

Arguably, one such data type that is challenging for companies to currently exploit but that would benefit greatly from big data analytics is tracing their sustainability performance. Currently, there is consensus in the literature that sustainability tracing based on big data analytics can have a considerable impact in achieving improved organizational sustainability. In a previous paper, we proposed an AI-based framework which uses ESG data to predict and forecast the sustainability performance of companies, and we reflected on how companies could use our framework to implement their enterprise architectures. In this paper, we reflect how our framework can be transformed into a platform solution for ESG data analysis. Our paper contributes to the literature in two ways, firstly by analysing, the regulatory, ethical, and legal opportunities and challenges associated with such am AI platform implementation scenario and secondly by leveraging this platform implementation to outline how companies can use data as a strategic asset for sustainability decision-making.

In digitised enterprises, IT security threats and data-related risks and risk management strategies have been made a top priority. As a result, the risk management plan increasingly includes companies' identification and monitoring processes, including proprietary corporate data, personal information and intellectual data, for threats to their digital assets, Including private corporate data, customer identity and intellectual property information. Each company and organisation, in the event of unforeseen, harmful events, can cost or cause the company to close permanently. Risk management is still a problem for most of the companies nowadays due to different reasons such as failure to use appropriate risk metrics, mismeasurement of known risks, failure to take known risks into account, and failure in monitoring and managing risks. During our research, we have used a hungarian well-known bank dataset which is OTP bank to analyse the customer specifically companies risks given different features of them. We have used different state-of-art or cutting edge models such as xgboost, catboost and Knn algorithms which are useful for future prediction of risk level associated with the companies. After cleaning the dataset and using the different classification algorithms, we came up with comparably good results which we measured with accuracy evaluation metrics.

Not only the output, input, and internally stored data collections appear as documents but the representation of Business Processes and the artifacts of Enterprise Architecture. For this reason, the document-centric approaches for understanding the behavior of Information systems are an apt tool. Information Systems can be considered from three viewpoints. Namely data, processes, and behavior that represents the complex interaction of business processes through the data. The representation of this complex set of relationships requires approaches grounded in various branches of Mathematics and Computer Science, namely Information Theory, Computational Graph Theory, and Computational Algebraic Topology. In this paper, the essential ideas, proposed methods, and approaches are outlined to open a way for further researches.

Young professionals continuously want to pick up new skills but not necessary going through a full university program. Micro-credentials offer a great solution to prove certain obtained skills. The role of higher education institutes is changing with these novel certification methods. Academic recognition is crucial to ensure acceptance and uptake of micro-credentials within higher education. In order to issue a diploma to the learners, they have to show they fulfill the rules of the institute, which can be checked using process mining techniques. Conformance checking runs process models against preset rules to check if that model complies with them or not. These techniques with the proper process modelling tools can provide the option to higher education institutes to automatically issue certificates even diplomas if the learner obtained the necessary microcredentials to get them.

Artificial intelligence-based analysis of physiological signal data has resulted in promising results. This paper aims to assess neural network compression possibilities applied to a respiratory classification problem. The experiment is carried out on an Nvidia Jetson TX2 edge device and a personal computer. Respiratory sounds are classified into 8 classes of disease using two distinct deep learning networks. The trained models are compressed using half-precision and 8-bit integer quantization methods, and the inference results are compared and analyzed based on predictive powers, memory footprint, and inference time. Traditional, interpretable models (SVM, KNN) are also compared to the former deep models. The results are promising, the compression techniques manage to decrease memory usage 8 times while experiencing a negligible decrease in model accuracy.

ICAI 2020 11th International Conference on Applied Informatics Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Applied Informatics (ICAI 2020), 2020

The leading platforms in modern software development for applications with the user interface are... more The leading platforms in modern software development for applications
with the user interface are web and mobile platforms. In the earlier days, it
was common that the purpose of the client side of these applications only display
data and process interactions, while the backend ran all business logic in
the background. Recently a new trend can be identified that the client apps
include complex business logic as well. Modern web frameworks and mobile
technologies rely on the client device’s computing capacities for the maximal
performance, therefore provide built-in services to cache data and run steps
of the business logic on the client device. This paradigm is illustrated by the
success of PWA technology and by offline applications. The user interface of
modern applications is designed by UX designers, who focus rather on the
ease of use and user experience then safety and soundness, which often leads
to disrupting the well-defined business process by introducing new sub-steps
and alternative ways. These tendencies altogether result that the client-side
of modern applications also implement a lot of business logic that already
implemented by the backend in a more strict, straightforward approach. In
a more abstract approach, the client and the server work with the same type
of documents by performing two different business processes that exist at
the same time. The two layers of the application are often developed by
different teams, where frontend and backend specialists work simultaneously.
Altogether this results in new risks that should be mitigated by continuously
evaluating the consistency of the two business processes during the whole
development life-cycle. This evaluation should identify if the two processes
are consistent, special tools have to be introduced that ensure that after performing
a particular iteration in the development roadmap, the consistency is still maintained. The goal of this paper is to introduce a formal model for
this evaluation and introduce tools that can be derived from this model and
can be used in software development and testing.

All those changes of a business must be implemented in business processes (BP) and their maintaining information systems (IS). Therefore, a necessity of new approaches for the dynamic business process (DBP) for their modelling, dynamic execution, simulation and management to express and model the behaviour of the system over time, it uses too software tools for modelling BP, which integrate components for dynamic modelling and measuring the performance of the processes. This gap triggered significant research efforts and several approaches to solve DBP modelling problems and ensures the processes dynamicity. In this paper, we present the foundation design and BP models to move to advanced steps of execution over time, facilitate and ensure verification and find new approaches for simulation and optimization. We give special emphasis to the investigation of modelling BP, we investigate some fundamental concepts in this domain related with hypergraphs which concepts is strongly supported in Modeling of the DBP.

A magasabb évfolyamokon

A szakirodalomban a témakör egyre jelentősebb mértékben kerül publikálásra. A kutatás első fázisában a globalizációs folyamattal kapcsolatosan három kérdést fogalmaztak meg: A. Milyen mélységű, " standardizált " ERP kialakításra törekednek nemzetközi cégek? B. Milyen modellekbe sorolhatóak az ERP globalizációs folyamatok? C. It is the intent of this thesis to develop a comprehensive framework in the form of an appropriate methodology and to create an object library to support the decision making process.
The proposed methodology is interfaced to the SSADM (Structured Systems Analysis and Design Method) and has detailed instructions what data should be collected and from which source to set up a performance model. Based on these facts, the design alternatives can be defined in the form of objects.
An object library and the related methods are developed to support the performance modelling of design options. The methods of the objects incorporate the best concepts from existing performance prediction algorithms and computational methods. The various objects provide ways for analysing the distinct aspects of information systems as software service demand, transactions resource requirement depending on the data distribution, the average response time of the system based on patterns of functions usage. There are small templates demonstrating the object definition and model analysis. The object-oriented programming environment in which the object library implemented yields the opportunity for reusability and for further development to fit to new requirements that is to other structured methods.
Finally, a short analysis is outlined using the CommonKADS methodology about the knowledge-base model and necessary inferences to make the system more helpful and 'intelligent'.

seek to rationalize, innovate and adapt to changing environments and
circumstances as part of business process improvements efforts. The
strength of the blockchain technology lies in its usage as an apt technology
to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes,
to prevent the use of erroneous or outdated data, and to allow sharing
of confidential data in a secure manner. The use of superior technology
in execution and automation of business processes brings opportunities
to rethink the process itself as well. Business processes modeling and
verification are essential to control and assure organizational evolution,
therefore, the aim of this paper is three-fold: firstly, to provide business
process management patterns in finance, based on blockchain, specifically
for the loan-application process, that could be used and customized by
companies; secondly, to critically analyze challenges and opportunities
from the introduction of such approach for companies; and thirdly to
outline how companies can implement the loan business process as a
web service.
