The 2026 Conservation Impact Workshop will be part of the main session of the 2026 SFI Annual Conference in Montreal, QC May 5-7. We hope to see you there!
ABOUT:
The SFI Conservation Impact Workshops elevate the conservation contributions of managed forests and ensures that SFI supported research and outcomes are robust, grounded in credible science, and resonate with key audiences.The workshops promote interaction and open dialogue between the SFI Conservation Pillar, partners, and experts from a variety of backgrounds.
PAST EVENTS:
2025 SFI Conservation Impact Workshop — Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 23, 2025
Theme: Exploring practical climate-related interventions and available resources for responsible forest management.
Part I included expert speakers on various applications of evolving management practices and data that can support alignment with Climate Smart Forestry – now an objective SFI Forest Management standard. Access video recording of speaker session.
Part II included updates from the Conservation pillar and will have an interactive engagement session on the development of climate informed practices for forest management. Access summary report of event.
