[Our own way 🙌] A technique used 'round the world! 🗺 Following deployments in France, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia, our teams rolled out Recycol, Colas' solution for road asset maintenance, in a new location...Gabon! Used to resurface the Transgabonaise, one of the country's major roads, this technique involves a train of machines that recycles the pavement in a single pass. The existing road materials are drilled up and treated, then laid down again and compacted, all at a low temperature. Hazánk egyik legrégebbi vízügyi műtárgya, a Csepel-sziget északi csücskénél található, 1911-ben átadott Kvassay-zsilip modernizációjában a Colas Alterra munkatársai is részt vettek. 👷♂️ A több mint 100 éves zsilip összetett feladatai miatt korszerűsítésére már nagy szükség volt. 🛠️ A modernizálás keretén belül megtörtént: 🔹 az erőmű turbináinak és a darupályák felújítása, 🔹 az épület energetikai rendszerének korszerűsítése, 🔹 új szivattyútelep létesítése szívó- és nyomóoldali műtárgyak és csővezetékrendszer kiépítésével, 🔹 a műemléki védettség alatt álló zsilipkezelő épület és a komplexum közelében álló szolgálati lakás, valamint a gerendatároló felújítása, 🔹 továbbá az uszadékkiemelő rendszer modernizálása. A videó készítésekor az egyik leglátványosabb munkafolyamat, a szivattyúk beemelése zajlott. Az új szivattyúk 6 méter magasak és másodpercenként 30m³ víz átemelésére képesek. Az új szivattyútelep lehetőséget ad arra, hogy hatékonyan kezeljük a jövőbeni vízgazdálkodási kihívásokat, például a klímaváltozás által okozott szélsőséges vízállási ingadozásokat. Ezáltal biztosítva a hosszú távú vízgazdálkodási stabilitást és a térség biztonságát. 📸 Nagy Balázs

[Our own way 🙌] Colas yellow in Greenland! 💛💚 Our teams from Colas Danmark A/S recently made the long trip to Tasiilaq, Greenland to pave local roads! This town of 2,000 inhabitants may be small, but our work there was no small feat. In a continuation of resurfacing work already carried out in 2014 and 2016, our teams laid asphalt mix on a large part of the town’s roads last summer with the help of a mobile asphalt plant adapted to remote locations. This project required a lot of preparation and logistical planning…for example, it takes three weeks to send machines and materials up to Greenland! In addition, as the weather is unpredictable, our teams had to adapt to changing circumstances and find alternative ways of doing things. Improving driving conditions, fostering connections, and enhancing safety meant that this was an important project for the community. [Press release 📢] Electrifying train journeys in the UK!🚄✨Colas Rail has been selected by HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd to design, manufacture, supply, install, test, and commission the catenary systems that will supply power to high-speed trains throughout the HS2 network. 🚧 Jumet – de Joseph Lambillotte-straat ondergaat een ingrijpende renovatie! 🏗️ De straat in de voorstad van Charleroi werd van top tot teen gerenoveerd. Zo werd er onder andere 1.600 ton aan nieuw asfalt gelegd, alsook 4000 meter aan kasseien. Daarbij werden ook 4,5 kilometer aan afwateringsgoten gelegd, en 120 meter aan nieuwe afvoerleidingen. Dankzij deze bestrating en een grondige update van het afwateringssysteem werd de Joseph Lambillotte-straat een nieuw leven ingeblazen, in functie van een leefbare stad. Het succesvol voltooien van het grootschalig project, met een totaal budget van meer dan 2 miljoen euro, vormt een belangrijke stap in de verbetering van de mobiliteit en de levenskwaliteit in dit deel van Charleroi 🚶♂️🚴♀️ .
