If left unchecked, unchallenged or dormant a void in skill sets will limit learners' competitiveness and diminish the standing they could have on the world's stage of accomplishments. On the other hand, needed skills can be developed and honed through practice (soft and hard skills), maximizing the virtual environment, peer review, and feedback. Being aware of what is absent in learner development is important for practitioners and academes as they create and advance programs that support the development of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies for learners. Requests for continuous learning are constant challenges at the college and university levels, as well as within work environments as learners push for information to advance themselves and their careers. As learners continue to focus on infusing 21 st century education and technologies into their knowledge bases, educators and trainers must combine the thinking of education and business communities to develop visions and action plans designed to ensure success at the academic level and within the workforce. This chapter will review a case study that highlights sound practice for developing knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies for individual learners, as well as teams. Practitioners and academes can use this model. The framework of this development lies in andragogy, technology, and constructivism. Today's educational requirements need not only instructors with robust subject matter knowledge, skills, and abilities, the requirements also need competitive products (Pyzdek, 2003) such as development programs. Learners' skills can be developed in the 21st century using team projects to provide opportunities, getting learners to recognize skill development opportunities, and reflecting on continuous learning and self-development. These team project opportunities, recognition of skill development opportunities, and continuous learning will help learners widen their social, thinking, management, and information skills. In 2013 a group of adult learners were challenged to enhance their teaching skills at a time when teaching assistantships were not readily available. Thinking out of the box, a team of academes modified an original practice model to aid learners in developing their teaching and delivery skills.

This chapter focuses on how individuals with disabilities were transitioned into diversity and inclusion processes and then integrated into the organization and career development structure. Once left out of the measures of performance through education, learners with disabilities, in 1997, clearly became identified in the federal and state answerability systems. This chapter advocates for the social model. Additionally, respondents show how self-identifying as a person with a disability, even anonymously, can be difficult for some people. Readers will better understand the terms diversity, disability, and inclusion through the disability studies lenses, but the question remains, ‘Have we come a long way or are scholars and practitioners floundering in today's society and lacking understanding about diversity through unclear comprehension regarding disability?’

After 30+ years of debating the best model for disability, there is a need for a new framework. As the medical model of disability seeks a cure and the social model points to the environment, neither model is without its flaws. Human resource development (HRD) professionals and practitioners are in a position to craft a model that reflects the experiences of people with disabilities. This new model will strengthen HRD’s importance in the field and its impact on other disciplines.
The Solution.
This article offers consideration to be given for a new model for disability that addresses the complexities of cultural boundaries, gives value to the experiences of people with disabilities, and changes language in how disabilities are described. Using the results of the literature review, a path to the Transculturalized Diversity and Inclusion Model lays the groundwork for further research. This article accesses the perceptions of people with disabilities regarding both models, incorporates the strategies used by HRD scholars and researchers for improving value in a growing population of disabled people, and synthesizes a platform for future discussion and development of the Transculturalized Diversity and Inclusion Model.
The Stakeholders.
HRD practitioners, especially those serving populations with disabilities, will benefit greatly from a new model and perspective provided by the Transculturalized Diversity and Inclusion Model. HRD scholars likewise will be provided with a new framework for conducting research on people with disabilities in the workplace.

Health care has continuously transformed at all levels of health care- administrative, operational, and practical. This vastly changing health care industry requires a synthesis of communicating multifaceted and diverse forms of thinking. AI health care professional entities within business, technology, art, biomedical, and other health care related sectors must work cross-functionally to establish roles that will meet the need toward improving health care at all levels. In order to achieve this pursuit, we researched and investigated how to create an AI health care education model fostering collaboration and innovation. There has been a significant calling for AI heath care collaboration of academicians, clinical scientist, and health care practitioners of all levels to identify a comprehensive AI health care education model due to the current void in the health care course design. To further this empirical study, the researchers focused on a qualitative study comprising of qualitative interviews and surveys inviting participants from the AI health care, business, biomedical, clinical scientist, academia, and capital investors to expound on the level of significance each professional sector have toward AI Health care education.

Business development is the primary objective of numerous companies. However, active engagement and understanding of a global economy by all levels of management in business units remains somewhat sluggish. The focus of this paper is to review a case study in which five business units had to prepare an initial project plan outline centered on continued communications for global success. The business units were Human Resources, Customer Satisfaction, Disputes, Collections, and Telecommunications. The subjects were "think globally and adapt, culture clashes, avoiding cultural pitfalls, and globalization increases complexity." Also, in transitioning staff from administrative roles to strategic partnerships the following will be addressedskill gaps, and system upgrades. The importance of ensuring all staff was updated on the three year project plan is clarified. However, the focus on this paper is not to suggest this solution is the exact one for all companies; but to give a general framework of the preparation required that incorporates all staff levels and not just the mid to executive management levels.

Scholars and the business sectors are striving to determine cost-savings, cost-benefits, and cost efficiencies of online education. Technology’s push on job advancements is energizing learners to seeking new knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies in a rapidly changing technical climate. This information and technological period is intermingled in networked infrastructures within dynamic ecosystems. Distance education is altering the rules concerning the return-on-investment (ROI) since it requires planned engagements and investments, as it relates to online business enterprises. Although past data and performance can be used to modify ideas, different and innovative facts and documents must be evaluated to drive continuous process improvements. The goal is to electrify success that can be measured. This presentation will assess (1) aligning training with business objectives, (2) tracking and evaluating business results, and (3) the value of on-line investments in technology for training professionals (Burton, Bessette, and Brown-Jackson, 2013). Additionally, learning professionals will widen their knowledge base on why business values and organizational learning capabilities should be in partnership.

Blended learning has become a higher choice for several institutions as the numbers of enrolled students increase. This method will result in a higher turnover fro students of professionals in the next and upcoming generations. This change will shift the academic role as institutions create opportunities for students on other areas of professional departments other than on-campus based programs. Even as institutions change role in the academic shift, areas of quality measurement will become missed or overlooked.
Performance measurements tools help enhance new learning opportunities for institutions in future plans of academic change. Several variables control these methods and measurement tools, but also help institute new plans for change. Ideally, these institutions need to be able to assist with every program they are capable of as well as areas of new blended learning. Having a solvent (plan) for this type of platform will help overall in the quality of education for learners of this generation.
This paper has been developed to enhance the power of performance measurement tools, specifically in blended learning."

Creating, growing, and maintaining a culture of quality customer service is relevant to virtually... more Creating, growing, and maintaining a culture of quality customer service is relevant to virtually every busy sector. In this 21st Century simply having customer service is a mundane and outdated approach to preserving customers and developing business. Leadership, staff, and volunteers can dramatically influence the quality of the services provided. Studies are available in general service measures; still, quality in service delivery remains a broad concern. This text seeks to remedy customer service concerns by focusing on putting quality in customer service and providing specific avenues to address rekindling the art of service to customers. A general thought may be to believe there is a common interpretation of quality customer service (QSC). This article examines current understandings of QSC in the nonprofit arena and the need to have and build customer service-centric organizations. Staff members, to include volunteers, play a fundamental role in face-to-face, as well as distant customer service encounters. Their interactions affect customers’ views of service quality, satisfaction, and value. Consequently, nonprofit organizations have as much at stake in the customer perception game as the for profit business sector. This article will provide reasoning why nonprofit leaders need to be interested in the concerns that sway the attitudes of their current and potential customers. Further, this article will provide information that guides nonprofit leadership in consistently examining influences on their organizations’ characteristics, social environment, and global perceptions.

Rules such as access control are being re-written consistently. The manner in which digital transformation is approached is very diverse with guidance from laggards and leaders. Today’s ubiquitous technology world houses data, which denotes one of the utmost complex risks for businesses,’ and organizations’ operational undertakings, standing, as well as the bottom line. The overall mission is to embolden staff within businesses and organizations to achieve more with less. This mission is complicated, yet delicate. Efficacious digital transformations necessitates the delivery of IT services through a quick, agile, and methodical approach. External and internal customers are rewarded with information and choices, while digital technology transformation enhances money matters. Also, such a transformation occurs through beliefs that the best ideas, and tools are safeguarded. Confidence in systems is at the core of customers, internal and external, believing that they can trust digital technology usage due to a well- managed and implemented cybersecurity strategy. Such a strategy requires well developed governance to guide usages which involves leadership influencing behavior, culture, and accessibility. Businesses and organization must continually seek digital transformation in the cyber world or stand on the sidelines and watch the consistently evolving disruptions. Since 2005, the Big Boom age, businesses and organizations have and continue to experience data breaches whether through internal accessibility or hacking. Forbes reported that the global average cost of a data breach is up 6.4 percent from 2017 and stands at $3.86 million. Additionally, the same report noted and annual increase of 4.8 percent regarding the average cost for every lost or stolen record comprising delicate and confidential information.
The National Conference of State Legislatures offers information by state on “Laws Addressing Hacking, Unauthorized Access, Computer Trespass, Viruses, [and] Malware”. This presentation offers a cybersecurity strategy for access control best practices. By reading this text, leaders, academics, and practitioners will gain usable knowledge to control system accesses that can be used in governance and compliance for the purpose of lessening security breach concerns.

If left unchecked, unchallenged or dormant a void in skill sets will limit learners’ competitiveness and diminish the standing they could have on the world’s stage of accomplishments. Requests for continuous learning are constant challenges at the college and university levels, as well as within work environments as diverse learners push for information to advance themselves and their careers. This chapter is written to provide avenues to enhance the skillsets of member of the workforce and the learning environments to include practitioners, and academics.

This increase of faculty also helps the reputation of the institution by adding professionals whose backgrounds create a diverse interest for department chairs and add collective data from several fields. Tenured faculty are known for their valuable publishing in top tier journals and their intellectual knowledge of various subjects. Published works assist online adjunct faculty in gaining and receiving various incentives that help them pursue advances within their departments.
The main problem lies within certain incentives and how online adjunct faculty are able to advance based upon receiving these benefits. Online adjunct faculty currently does not receive the same incentives and benefits as that of tenured traditional faculty. This incentives and benefits problem causes variations that create negative bias against online adjunct faculty within academic departments. To assist professionals in terms of advancement and institutional reputation, publishing and receiving recognition is one of the most valued items that any one professional can receive.
The main focus of this paper is to assist the audience‘s perception of the value of publishing in the academic arena through the lens of online adjunct faculty. The researchers will locate operational focal points requiring business process improvements that institutions can embrace to enhance incentives and performance of online adjunct faculty. Some of the focused items will be the following; conference reimbursement, quality of information collected, types of published work, reputation of journals, quality of published work, and how institutions can best use adjunct faculty members published works.

Additionally, this model showcases tools required to regulate life’s conditions through ground-breaking coursework. The research team introduces learning by crafting individual development programs that begin with the end in mind. The approach entails learners exploring goals and objectives of their coursework as these goals and objectives relate to long-term career plans. Learners’ research works, also incorporate principles of traditional literature review with the reflective examination of practitioners. Then learners take that knowledge and literature review data to build a plan of how this information fits into their career positions. The theory is that by building a long-term plan for student learning outcomes of the course, learners can enhance career qualifications. Guiding learners to the light of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies is vital within this 21st century to achieve economic progress and social mobility. These learners will need the understanding and fortitude to plot a course within a universe, which is growing significantly global and flatter, due to technology. If left unbridled, this shift in globalization will allow unprepared learners to enter into an intricate world that is continually changing in communication methodology due to the deluge of technology. Alternatively, inter-disciplinary instructional strategies can be employed to construct capability supporting learners’ educational understanding and information usage. If this type of andragogical teaching excellence is not consistently demonstrated, learners may experience a challenge in their efforts to maximize capabilities. This model guides learners to embrace change, imagine possibilities, learn through the activity of experience, and to rejuvenate continuously. Practitioners and academicians can use this model that is in the frameworks of andragogy, technology, interdisciplinary study, and constructivism.

""Student retention in non-traditional management programs has ... more ""Student retention in non-traditional management programs has recently been a concern for universities with adult learners. Management programs, especially those that are non-traditional are becoming a leading way for organizations and businesses to obtain high quality management skills and abilities that can be taught to professionals. The ability for adult learners to retain into continuing education programs is viable to the community, the businesses and organizations, and the university. The concepts learned are valuable such that the operations used in creating these programs needs of that value based on the specific outcomes for the program. Continuing education programs need to adjust specific plans that market and enhance the features and benefits of the programs. Creating adjustments to existing programs will enhance the perspective of the student, giving them a positive field on the outcome of the general theme of the program. These changes are minimal but have very large external factors that help control the enrollment of students from the organization. In turn, this will increase the benefits received by the organization to help trigger represented effects to the university. The quality of these programs can be measured by the return on this investment as well as the overall outcome. Benchmarking has the power to legitimize business goals based on high external operations instead of extracting from internal practices and past trends. With all external environments constantly changing, new focused ideas are needed for plans to successfully enable assets to conform new expectations to retain adult learners. The importance of this study is to create a better-rounded continuing education program by comparison to other well-known systems. These changes affect both the internal and external concepts given off by the program. The importance of benchmarking can help increase retention in continuing educational programs with little to no massive makeovers. Benchmarking is one of the most powerful business practices tools that had been adapted into metrics of standardized process improvement practices. In higher education, this process will be flawless and overall create a management system that will help engage new options for adult learners in higher education. ""

They occur at high latitudes during a three month period starting about one month before the summer solstice. PMC are composed of small ice particles, which form during the polar summer when the upper mesosphere reaches temperatures of less than 130 K, so that even the few parts per million of water vapor available at those altitudes becomes highly supersaturated. There are now several sets of satellite measurements of PMC, each of which cover a decade or longer with the same instrument or multiple copies of the same instrument on different satellites. We will focus on two of these datasets. The first from the Solar Backscatter UltraViolet [SBUV and SBUV/2] instruments on the NOAA polar-orbiting meteorological satellites, which provide over a quarter century of measurements beginning in 1978. The second from the Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment [SAGE II], which began operation in 1984. These measurements show that the number of PMC observed each season exhibit a strong anti-correlation with the solar Lyman-alpha flux. While there is no clear long-term trend in the frequency of occurrence of all PMC, there is evidence that the frequency of brightest PMC are increasing. There is also clear evidence that the average brightness or albedo of the PMC observed by the SBUV instruments has increased over the past quarter century. Recent modeling results by Thomas et al. have shown that this increasing brightness is consistent with the increase in mesospheric water vapor over the same period. We will discuss the implications of these findings in terms of our understanding of global change.
