This study aims to make a content analysis of articles about misconceptions at elementary science... more This study aims to make a content analysis of articles about misconceptions at elementary science education. Descriptive survey model was used in methodology. The sample was consisted of 42 articles, in Turkish and published between 2000 and 2014. The articles were examined by considering on the subject, objective, grade, and method and techniques used in removing misconceptions. It was found that: The world and universe subject was the learning area less work was done; mostly concept cartoons have been benefited to correct misconceptions; and research was done mainly at grades seven and eight. It can be suggested that research should start at the primary school level and include all area and units and focus on eliminating misconceptions, and misconceptions should be cited in program and textbooks and teachers should be given in-service courses.
