Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is considered as one of the health indicators to evalua... more Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is considered as one of the health indicators to evaluate health status of population. Indonesia had the highest MMR (305 per 100,000 live births) compared to other countries in South East Asia. Efforts to reduce MMR have been developed including increasing the quality of antenatal care (ANC). The high coverage of ANC through first and fourth visit only describe the accessibility of the ANC. This study aims to find a model of antenatal care, both from accessibility and quality of care in Aceh Province, Indonesia. Methods: This is an explanatory study using cross sectional design, with the population of all village midwifes in Aceh province. Cluster sampling was used for all midwife in Banda Aceh municipality, totaling 105 respondents. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire, maternal and child health books, and mother's cohort books. Statistical analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Model (SEM) Amos 16 to estimate the relationship of midwife's characteristic, organization and psychology towards quality of antenatal care and midwife performances. Results: Individual midwife characteristics, organization, and midwife psychology had a significant and positive relationship with the quality of antenatal care and midwife performances. Quality of antenatal care also had a significant and positive relationship with midwife performance. The results indicated that variables of individual, organization and psychological midwife had direct and indirect relationship with midwife performance through the quality of antenatal care as the intervening variable. Antenatal care quality was significantly mediated the correlation between the individual, organization, and psychological variables with midwife performance. Conclusion: Variable of organization had the highest correlation with the quality of antenatal care and midwife performances. Thus, it is suggested the improvement of incentives, leadership and resources as the organization indicators.

It is encouraging schools at this time to further improve its performance. One attempt to do is to improve the performance of teachers and increase job motivation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of compensation and competence on job motivation and senior high schools teacher performance in Lhokseumawe. The population data collected in the study were all accounts totaling 351 teachers from seven senior high schools that made the object of research. Seven hypotheses for direct and mediating effect were formulated to be tested using PLS (Partial Least Square) analyses through SEM-PLS software with WarpPLS 3.0. The results show that compensation and competence are significantly influence toward job motivation. Results also showed that compensation, competence, and job motivation are significantly influence toward teacher performance. Meanwhile, job motivation support mediates the relationship between compensation and competence to senior high schools teacher performance in Lhokseumawe.

Respondents were women entrepreneurs in the coastal area of Medan with a total of 71 respondents. According to the data processing result on a questionnaire using multiple linear regression analysis, F-test, and also t-test, the study proved that variables of responsive to change, creativity, and ability to accept change simultaneously and significantly affected the competitive advantage for women’s small-scale business in the coastal area of Medan. The influences of SMEs have been established by young millennials (Generation Y) in Medan, North ... more The influences of SMEs have been established by young millennials (Generation Y) in Medan, North Sumatra. Women using digital technology is a supporting factor to the business market. Products' competitive markets have characteristics for novice entrepreneurs. This study aimed at describing the leadership and strategy of competitive advantages of micro-business products as the key to success for millennial women as beginners. This research was experimental design research using a qualitative and quantitative approach for beginner millennial entrepreneurs of culinary in Medan. The sample of this study was taken randomly by snowball principle, resulting in the representatives of millennial women of beginner entrepreneurs in Deli Serdang Regency who had meaningful micro-businesses in Medan City. A number of existing research samples were 117 people. The results showed that most micro-businesses in Medan had been established for more than 5 years, namely 65 respondents (55.6%). Meanwhile, entrepreneurs who had run their businesses for less than one year were 7 respondents (5.98%). The findings characterized those beginner entrepreneurs with a maximum capital of 10 million were as many as 45 million people (38.46%) and those located from over 1 million were 10 (8.54%). Also, using technology as a means of marketing development was 58.11%. Finally, leadership was evaluated and the results by the customer relations were mostly done by positive thinking of 93.16%. They create marketing strategies such as managing the finance, establishing a good relationship with consumers for business development. Therefore, the business can be accepted by the market.

Perkebunan Nusantara V. This type of research is causal with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all employees of main office, totaling 503 employees. Used primary and secondary data which are obtained through documentation study and questions list. Taken by using simple random sampling. The data are analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3.0 version. The results demonstrated that transformational leadership had positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction, non-physical work environment positive and hadn't have significant effect on employee satisfaction, transformational leadership had positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, non-physical work environment had positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction had positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction. Transformational leadership indirectly had had positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction and nonphysical work environment had positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction through job satisfaction.

Gracia Multi Moda Medan. This type of research is causal research with a quantitative approach. This research uses a method of saturated samples, i.e. all employees amounting to 33 people are used as samples of research. The analysis of this study used multiple linear regression. Results showed that simultaneously psychological well-being, compensation and physical work environment have significant effect on employee satisfaction at PT. Gracia Multi Moda Medan. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of parent in children’s career choice as an entrepreneur. This research is a descriptive survey and the subjects were the student’s parents at the University of North Sumatra who have taken entrepreneurship courses. This study uses a purposive sampling method. The results show a great tendency on the parents’ age and parents’ education level in determining their children career’s choice as an entrepreneur, and parents’ intention of being their children to be entrepreneur. The role of good parents has a tendency to affect the children in choosing a career as an entrepreneur. At the end, recommendations are made and limitations of the study are discussed.

Gracia Multi Moda Medan. This type of research is causal research with a quantitative approach. This research uses a method of saturated samples, i.e. all employees amounting to 33 people are used as samples of research. The analysis of this study used multiple linear regression. Results showed that simultaneously psychological well-being, compensation and physical work environment have significant effect on employee satisfaction at PT. Gracia Multi Moda Medan. Partial psychological well-being, compensation and physical work environment positively and significantly effect on employee satisfaction. Compensation is a more dominant factor effect on employee satisfaction. PT. Gracia Multi Moda Medan should increase compensation and pay attention to employee satisfaction, so that employees work better.

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of parent in children’s career choice as an entrepreneur. This research is a descriptive survey and the subjects were the student’s parents at the University of North Sumatra who have taken entrepreneurship courses. This study uses a purposive sampling method. The results show a great tendency on the parents’ age and parents’ education level in determining their children career’s choice as an entrepreneur, and parents’ intention of being their children to be entrepreneur. The role of good parents has a tendency to affect the children in choosing a career as an entrepreneur. At the end, recommendations are made and limitations of the study are discussed.
