The poem vividly contrasts the warmth and joy of family gatherings with the inevitable sorrow of farewells. Through the imagery of winter landscapes and car journeys, it portrays the bittersweet nature of these moments, highlighting the enduring bonds and hopes for future reunions. The poem captures the essence of familial love and the cyclical nature of parting and reuniting. The literature review section of this publication introduces Zhu Ziqing’s prose essay "Back View" 朱自清的《背影》(1928) and Ping-Chang Su and Lawrence K. Wang’s poem "Back View: Gradually Walking Away, Where to Rest the Shadow?" 蘇平章及王抗曝的《背影:漸行漸遠,息影何方?》 (2024) concerning each article’s (a) background and historical context; (b) article content; and (c) themes and imagery. A comparative analysis of the two previous articles in the literature has been conducted in the areas of: (a) emotional resonance; (b) use of imagery; (c) themes of nostalgia and reflection; and (d) socio-cultural context. While both articles share themes of separation, nostalgia, and reflection, they do so through different lenses: Zhu Ziqing’s 1928 prose essay focuses on familial love and sacrifice, while Su and Wang’s 2024 poem highlights enduring friendship. Both previous related articles utilize powerful imagery to evoke deep emotions, making them timeless pieces of literary art. Another comparative analysis of all three articles: the 1928 prose essay "Back View", the 2024 poem "Back View: Gradually Walking Away, Where to Rest the Shadow?", and the 2025 poem-song lyrics "Car Back View" is included in this publication. In summary, while all three articles share common themes of separation and reunion, they each offer unique perspectives and emotional depths. The 1928 prose essay " Back View" reflects familial love and sacrifice, the 2024 poem "Back View: Gradually Walking Away, Where to Rest the Shadow?" captures the essence of enduring friendship, and the 2025 poem-song lyrics "Car Back View" highlights the warmth and sorrow of family reunions. ABSTRACT: 《背影》(Back View) is a prose essay published by Zhu Ziqing in 1928. The essay vividly captures the silent sorrow and deep love between a father and son in mainland China. ABSTRACT: This study compares mainland China's Pinyin system and Taiwan's Zhuyin (Bopomofo) system in the education of Mandarin Chinese. The Pinyin system, developed in the 1950s, utilizes the Latin alphabet and diacritic marks to represent Mandarin sounds and tones, making it widely recognized and utilized globally. Conversely, the Zhuyin system, with its roots in the early 20th century, employs unique symbols derived from Chinese characters, coupled with tone marks, and is predominantly used in Taiwan for language instruction. This comparison highlights the strengths and applications of both systems, considering factors such as ease of learning, usage in digital input methods, and their roles in preserving linguistic heritage. ABSTRACT: This publication is one of the academic works accomplished by the classmates of Experimental Class 5 at the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University (HSNU). These old classmates studied together at HSNU from 1952 to 1958, and some have since passed away. To celebrate their past and current friendships, they are publishing their untold stories and poems, disseminating the loving brotherhood that started from a young age to the entire world. This poem, "Back View: Gradually Walking Away, Where to Rest the Shadow?", captures the bittersweet reunion of old friends who reminisce about their shared past. ABSTRACT: The experimental procedures introduced in this report can be used to evaluate the performance of an adsorption filter containing adsorbent (such as Granular Activated Carbon) in removing contaminants (including lead, other heavy metals or contaminants) from tap water. Included in this document are: (a) experimental design; (b) sampling; and (c) water quality monitoring program.
The objectives of the experimental procedures are: (a) to investigate the properties of the an adsorbent, such as granular activated carbon (GAC); (b) to define the system parameters that are required for the design of an adsorption filter, and (c) to develop the operational characteristics of an adsorption filter. As a typical example, the GAC is evaluated in these proposed experimental procedures by: (a) adsorption kinetics study; (b) adsorption isotherm study; (c) adsorption breakthrough study; and (d) GAC characteristics study. Each of the adsorption experiments hereinafter described employs a synthetic contaminant solution in tap water as the test solution or challenge water. The conditions to be used in the adsorption studies follow the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) Standard Number 53 (June, 1988), the 1988 Annual Book of ASTM Standard Guidelines (Part 31), and the 1988 WQA (Water Quality Association) recommended industrial standards for household and commercial water filters (S-200). The GAC characteristics study is conducted in accordance with the 1974 AWWA (American Water Works Association) Standard for Granular Activated Carbon (B604-74).

ABSTRACT: An earlier publication, "The Warmth of Family" [1], portrays the warmth and intimacy of an ideal loving family that everyone should aspire to have. This publication, "Home Sweet Home" [2], extends "The Warmth of Family" with the same loving elements: (a) family gatherings that unite members with joy, laughter, and humor; (b) family communications filled with affection that create special bonds; and (c) family love that allows for quiet reflection and beautiful dreams, fostering closeness and longing within the family. The authors have composed the song lyrics for "Home Sweet Home" to include Verse 1, Chorus, Verse 2, Bridge, Chorus, and Outro in English, Chinese, and German, accompanied by illustrations. Musicians interested in setting these lyrics to music for global distribution of family love should contact the authors directly. In 2018 (Year of the Dog according to the Chinese zodiac calendar), two sets of grandparents (the authors and their in-laws) jointly wrote a simple poem in Chinese, English, and German, conveying their loving messages to their joint grandchildren through their beloved German family dog, Milos. Family communication brings special bonds and warmth, with letters read full of affection. The love of family is a cherished bond, and in quiet thoughts and beautiful dreams, the closeness and longing for each other are deeply felt. The authors of this article have created this poem, filled with familial love, in English, Chinese, and German, along with illustrations and lyrics to share with the world. Musicians are invited to set the lyrics to music to spread it widely. The authors’ father is the famous General Wang Puchen. But what if we told you there exists a remarkable canine companion who not only appreciates this ancient game but can also play it? Allow us to introduce our extraordinary dog—a true mahjong prodigy. Countless tales abound of dogs demonstrating exceptional intelligence and unique abilities. From daring search-and-rescue missions to agile feats in competitions, our loyal companions continue to astound us. While the notion of a dog playing Mahjong may seem whimsical, until now, no documented real-life example existed of a dog mastering this ancient game. Relatives and friends gather like “Eighteen Arhats”, their unity bittersweet. Echoes of “Pair Pair Pong” shock our eyes, while whispered “Two Numbers” defy despair. The “Three Sisters” strive, “drawing hope of moon from the sea”, but all efforts prove in vain. In summary, while all three articles share common themes of separation and reunion, they each offer unique perspectives and emotional depths. ABSTRACT: The experimental procedures introduced in this report can be used to evaluate the performance of an adsorption filter containing adsorbent (such as Granular Activated Carbon) in removing contaminants (including lead, other heavy metals or contaminants) from tap water. Included in this document are: (a) experimental design; (b) sampling; and (c) water quality monitoring program.
The objectives of the experimental procedures are: (a) to investigate the properties of the an adsorbent, such as granular activated carbon (GAC); (b) to define the system parameters that are required for the design of an adsorption filter, and (c) to develop the operational characteristics of an adsorption filter. As a typical example, the GAC is evaluated in these proposed experimental procedures by: (a) adsorption kinetics study; (b) adsorption isotherm study; (c) adsorption breakthrough study; and (d) GAC characteristics study. Each of the adsorption experiments hereinafter described employs a synthetic contaminant solution in tap water as the test solution or challenge water. The conditions to be used in the adsorption studies follow the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) Standard Number 53 (June, 1988), the 1988 Annual Book of ASTM Standard Guidelines (Part 31), and the 1988 WQA (Water Quality Association) recommended industrial standards for household and commercial water filters (S-200). The GAC characteristics study is conducted in accordance with the 1974 AWWA (American Water Works Association) Standard for Granular Activated Carbon (B604-74).

The principal intention of this series of books is to help the reader to formulate answers to the last two of the above three questions. The traditional approach of applying tried-and-true solutions to specific pollution problems has been a major factor contributing to the success of environmental engineering, and in large measure has accounted for the establishing of a "methodology of pollution control. Ever since my retirement in the year of 2002, I have been working on Combinatorial Number Theory. Using only elementary methods, I was able to get some breakthroughs in powered sums and triangular arrays of numbers. I hope my efforts and results could evolve into an undergraduate textbook in the area of Combinatorial Number Theory.
I also published “Cracking Sudoku Completely” ([44]) in Chinese. It contains the detailed solution of the hardest Sudoku puzzle posted online which I solved manually in 2012. Besides being referenced by a course of Computer Games in Taiwan, its excerpt was published in [41]. I believe the inclusion of the English version of it should benefit the vast majority of Sudoku lovers worldwide.

We come up with a good way of estimating the frequency of singles from A and B combined by using twin primes (tp, tp+2) which will be called cheese sandwich if the terminal value of tp+1 is from C or ham sandwich otherwise, as summarized below for M3.
