Deballasting adalah proses membongkar air balas kapal saat kapal dimuati sampai sarat tertentu atau sarat penuh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan penilaian risiko lingkungan pada proses ballasting dan deballasting di daerah PT. Pelindo I. Sampel data diambil dari kapal-kapal yang melakukan ballasting dan deballasting . Pada proses debalasting ditengarai ada spesies ikutan dari pelabuhan asal yang terikut dan bersifat invasive pada perairan dipelabuhan tujuan. Pelindo II Jakarta. Penerapan Ballast Water Management dalam aturan Internasional dengan standar IMO (International Maritime Organization) Rules yang ditelurkan oleh komite MEPC (Marine Environment Protection Committee). Pada tahap ini dilakukan proses Environmental Risk Assessment pada kegiatan ballasting dan deballasting yang dilakukan kapal pada pelabuhan. University of Gresik is a private university located in Gresik Regency which has two study progra... more University of Gresik is a private university located in Gresik Regency which has two study programs; Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. As an educational service provider, the Faculty of Engineering from this University aims to make improvement and betterment of its service quality in order to meet and increase its students' satisfaction. This is emphasized by the fact that students feel dissatisfied with sub-optimal attributes of service quality. This research seeks to analyze and improve service quality to meet students' satisfaction with the integration of Servqual, Kano, and Quality Function Deployment methods. The results of Servqual analysis showed that service quality has not been able to meet students' expectation, because all attributes had negative Gap values. Meanwhile, Kano analysis obtained 4 Must-be attributes, 13 One-dimensional attributes, 1 Attractive attribute, and 1 Indifferent attribute. The results of Quality Function Deployment analysis revealed 14 Technical Requirements that needed to be prioritized in improving service quality, with the top 5 contributions of Technical Requirements consisted of providing regular training to all employees 24.10%, evaluating employees performance regularly 14.13%, giving awards to lecturers who are most punctual at 8.56%, adding book and journal references on a regular basis at 7.83%, and involving student associations as scholarship recipient appraiser of 7.32%.

Productivity is one of the factors that determines an industry's success. X Ltd belongs to one of... more Productivity is one of the factors that determines an industry's success. X Ltd belongs to one of manufacturing companies specialized in mushroom canning in Pasuruan. This company has a single market as well as a large enough foreign market, consequently the production activities are pretty crowd every day. The greater the number of products produced, the greater the amount of garbage or waste resulted. Therefore, an effective waste reduction method was required for the treatment. The lean and green productivity approach refers to the identified waste, improved environmental conditions, and increased company production. This study provided an alternative to overcome the problem of foamy and smelly residue resulted from the company's production. By reducing waste, it would overcome the existing problems so that it could increase company productivity and improve the company's environmental performance. In this study, reducing the volume of waste was a selected alternative by increasing the quality of the main raw materials so that there was no waste accumulation because poor waste would produce more liquid waste as well. This alternative selection contributed the improvement of productivity up to 1,70% and EPI index 0,25%.

Pemilihan mesin GDX2-NV dan C-600 sebagai obyek penelitian disebabkan karena mesin tersebut merupakan mesin yang pertama kali diterapkan sistem RTT dan selalu dipantau performance dan produktivitasnya oleh manajemen. The current era of Covid-19 pandemic emphasizes the importance of good health. The existing healt... more The current era of Covid-19 pandemic emphasizes the importance of good health. The existing health services should provide the highest quality of care since health is such an important part of life. Jagir Community Health Centre is a health facility in Surabaya that offers hospitalization and opens 24 hours a day. Several patients complained about changes in service facilities during the pandemic. Thus, the writers found that it was important to conduct service quality assessment research to determine what steps could be taken to meet patient expectations and what priority aspects must be increased in order to improve service quality. Then, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method was used to analyze the suitability level to examine the level to which service performance fulfilled patient expectations, and Potential Gain in Customer Value (PGCV) method was used to determine the priority aspects. The result of the study showed that 74.773% patients was satisfied with the overall service quality using CSI method. The result of IPA method for calculating level of conformity were 94.96%, meaning that service performance had met the patient expectations. Furthermore, the following aspects such as the comfort and availability of patient waiting rooms based on the health protocols, the availability of large parking lots, the availability of handwashing and hand sanitizer, the timeliness of services and online registration improvement were considered to determine the priority of service quality improvement based on Quadrant 1 (one) IPA and the PGCV index.

PT.XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in plastic whose products are plastic bags such as shop... more PT.XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in plastic whose products are plastic bags such as shopping bags, inner bags, and T-shirt bags. In the production process, waste is still found in plastic products, therefore it is necessary to identify and reduce or eliminate activities that include waste. This study aims to provide recommendations for improvement to minimize forms of waste and reduce the possibility of failures that occur in the production process using lean manufacturing methods and failure mode and effect analysis. Lean manufacturing method used in this study is value stream mapping (VSM), Value stream analysis tools (VALSAT), and the last method is failure mode and effect analysis. From the research results of the VSM, VALSAT, and FMEA methods, it was found that the types of waste that often occur in the plastic production process are the types of defects, overproduction, and innaproriate processing. The root of the problem of waste defect is that the mold does not match the shape. Furthermore, recommendations were obtained after using the FMEA method and in the production process improvements were made by eliminating non-value added activities that could reduce the lead time of production time from 5453.5 seconds to 5400.25 seconds. So that the total time after repair can be reduced by 53.25 seconds or minimize 1% by eliminating 1 activity that does not provide added value.

Clinisindo Putra Perkasa Inc. is a retail company engaged in the medical field, one of its business units is Medicastore.com. The Company supplied customer's demand using transport vehicles that are distributed by motorcycles. Based on the observations, the author found that there is a decrease of demand caused by complaints from customers who are dissatisfied with the delivery service. In order to solve the problem of distribution, it is necessary to understand the best route options, simplify and accelerate the speed of delivery, so that orders can get into the hands of customers quickly and the transportation costs can be minimized. By using saving matrix and nearest neighbor method in this research is expected to help and solve distribution problems in Clinisindo Putra Perkasa Inc. The route or distribution line can be known efficiently and optimally by maximizing the capacity of vehicles for the purpose of maximizing transportation costs. By using saving matrix method, the company can save distribution distance of 2.8 km or 1.67% and transportation costs of Rp4,238,289 or 28.73% of the costs incurred by the company.

Thus, this company is going to do production or process to make ordered product only when there is a tender or order. The order or product that will be carried out can be about designs of consumers or designs of prototypes made by XYZ Firm together with the designs of materials in which process are also made by this company. There are numerous products resulted or produced by this company such as: printed mattress, inject moulding, automotive spare part, and components composing products. XYZ Firm has 5 work stations beginning from the most important one namely cutting station, shaping station of ordered product, production station, finishing station, and packing station. This research focused the analysis on the production station as the object and ultimately found 27 types of works having different hazard potentials and risk levels. The researcher employed HIRA and HAZOP methods for reducing the risk of occupational accident in the work station of production.

XYZ is a manufacturing company that is engaged in building goods from wood, there are 2 types of products produced by Turning and Handrail. Turning is the mainstay of the company because the product is very popular in sales both locally and in exports. The problems that are often experienced by PT. XYZ is a lack of raw material availability in the turning product production process so that the impact that occurs is delays in the delivery of goods. Master production schedule is a method that describes an overview of the system to be produced, both the quantity of time and the goods to be delivered. Material requirement planning is a method used to learn about inventory management functions to control and plan using demand data. This research was conducted to determine the use of the material requirment planning method by comparing the 2 lots so as to produce the optimum lot value. From the research results, it was found that the lot for lot resulted in the optimum inventory cost value of Rp. 1,170,000.00 per unit while the value of the lot economic order quantity is Rp. 2,889,560.91 per unit.

University of Gresik is a private university located in Gresik Regency which has two study progra... more University of Gresik is a private university located in Gresik Regency which has two study programs; Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. As an educational service provider, the Faculty of Engineering from this University aims to make improvement and betterment of its service quality in order to meet and increase its students' satisfaction. This is emphasized by the fact that students feel dissatisfied with sub-optimal attributes of service quality. This research seeks to analyze and improve service quality to meet students' satisfaction with the integration of Servqual, Kano, and Quality Function Deployment methods. The results of Servqual analysis showed that service quality has not been able to meet students' expectation, because all attributes had negative Gap values. Meanwhile, Kano analysis obtained 4 Must-be attributes, 13 One-dimensional attributes, 1 Attractive attribute, and 1 Indifferent attribute. The results of Quality Function Deployment analysis revealed 14 Technical Requirements that needed to be prioritized in improving service quality, with the top 5 contributions of Technical Requirements consisted of providing regular training to all employees 24.10%, evaluating employees performance regularly 14.13%, giving awards to lecturers who are most punctual at 8.56%, adding book and journal references on a regular basis at 7.83%, and involving student associations as scholarship recipient appraiser of 7.32%.

Productivity is one of the factors that determines an industry's success. X Ltd belongs to one of... more Productivity is one of the factors that determines an industry's success. X Ltd belongs to one of manufacturing companies specialized in mushroom canning in Pasuruan. This company has a single market as well as a large enough foreign market, consequently the production activities are pretty crowd every day. The greater the number of products produced, the greater the amount of garbage or waste resulted. Therefore, an effective waste reduction method was required for the treatment. The lean and green productivity approach refers to the identified waste, improved environmental conditions, and increased company production. This study provided an alternative to overcome the problem of foamy and smelly residue resulted from the company's production. By reducing waste, it would overcome the existing problems so that it could increase company productivity and improve the company's environmental performance. In this study, reducing the volume of waste was a selected alternative by increasing the quality of the main raw materials so that there was no waste accumulation because poor waste would produce more liquid waste as well. This alternative selection contributed the improvement of productivity up to 1,70% and EPI index 0,25%.

The current era of Covid-19 pandemic emphasizes the importance of good health. The existing healt... more The current era of Covid-19 pandemic emphasizes the importance of good health. The existing health services should provide the highest quality of care since health is such an important part of life. Jagir Community Health Centre is a health facility in Surabaya that offers hospitalization and opens 24 hours a day. Several patients complained about changes in service facilities during the pandemic. Thus, the writers found that it was important to conduct service quality assessment research to determine what steps could be taken to meet patient expectations and what priority aspects must be increased in order to improve service quality. Then, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method was used to analyze the suitability level to examine the level to which service performance fulfilled patient expectations, and Potential Gain in Customer Value (PGCV) method was used to determine the priority aspects. The result of the study showed that 74.773% patients was satisfied with the overall service quality using CSI method. The result of IPA method for calculating level of conformity were 94.96%, meaning that service performance had met the patient expectations. Furthermore, the following aspects such as the comfort and availability of patient waiting rooms based on the health protocols, the availability of large parking lots, the availability of handwashing and hand sanitizer, the timeliness of services and online registration improvement were considered to determine the priority of service quality improvement based on Quadrant 1 (one) IPA and the PGCV index.

PT.XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in plastic whose products are plastic bags such as shop... more PT.XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in plastic whose products are plastic bags such as shopping bags, inner bags, and T-shirt bags. In the production process, waste is still found in plastic products, therefore it is necessary to identify and reduce or eliminate activities that include waste. This study aims to provide recommendations for improvement to minimize forms of waste and reduce the possibility of failures that occur in the production process using lean manufacturing methods and failure mode and effect analysis. Lean manufacturing method used in this study is value stream mapping (VSM), Value stream analysis tools (VALSAT), and the last method is failure mode and effect analysis. From the research results of the VSM, VALSAT, and FMEA methods, it was found that the types of waste that often occur in the plastic production process are the types of defects, overproduction, and innaproriate processing. The root of the problem of waste defect is that the mold does not match the shape. Furthermore, recommendations were obtained after using the FMEA method and in the production process improvements were made by eliminating non-value added activities that could reduce the lead time of production time from 5453.5 seconds to 5400.25 seconds. So that the total time after repair can be reduced by 53.25 seconds or minimize 1% by eliminating 1 activity that does not provide added value.

Clinisindo Putra Perkasa Inc. is a retail company engaged in the medical field, one of its business units is Medicastore.com. The Company supplied customer's demand using transport vehicles that are distributed by motorcycles. Based on the observations, the author found that there is a decrease of demand caused by complaints from customers who are dissatisfied with the delivery service. In order to solve the problem of distribution, it is necessary to understand the best route options, simplify and accelerate the speed of delivery, so that orders can get into the hands of customers quickly and the transportation costs can be minimized. By using saving matrix and nearest neighbor method in this research is expected to help and solve distribution problems in Clinisindo Putra Perkasa Inc. The route or distribution line can be known efficiently and optimally by maximizing the capacity of vehicles for the purpose of maximizing transportation costs. By using saving matrix method, the company can save distribution distance of 2.8 km or 1.67% and transportation costs of Rp4,238,289 or 28.73% of the costs incurred by the company.

Thus, this company is going to do production or process to make ordered product only when there is a tender or order. The order or product that will be carried out can be about designs of consumers or designs of prototypes made by XYZ Firm together with the designs of materials in which process are also made by this company. There are numerous products resulted or produced by this company such as: printed mattress, inject moulding, automotive spare part, and components composing products. XYZ Firm has 5 work stations beginning from the most important one namely cutting station, shaping station of ordered product, production station, finishing station, and packing station. This research focused the analysis on the production station as the object and ultimately found 27 types of works having different hazard potentials and risk levels. The researcher employed HIRA and HAZOP methods for reducing the risk of occupational accident in the work station of production.

Turning is the mainstay of the company because the product is very popular in sales both locally and in exports. The problems that are often experienced by PT. XYZ is a lack of raw material availability in the turning product production process so that the impact that occurs is delays in the delivery of goods. Master production schedule is a method that describes an overview of the system to be produced, both the quantity of time and the goods to be delivered. Material requirement planning is a method used to learn about inventory management functions to control and plan using demand data. This research was conducted to determine the use of the material requirment planning method by comparing the 2 lots so as to produce the optimum lot value. From the research results, it was found that the lot for lot resulted in the optimum inventory cost value of Rp. 1,170,000.00 per unit while the value of the lot economic order quantity is Rp. 2,889,560.91 per unit.
