However, due to limited research available on this niche, cuisine tourism is referred as travellers who visit a restaurant and/or dine out during their trip to a place. Cuisine tourism presents new aspects of destination marketing, which can enhance the attractiveness of a destination without necessarily involving extensive new product development. Cuisine tourism can essentially be viewed as a subset of cultural tourism (cuisine is a manifestation of culture) whereas agritourism is considered a subset of rural tourism 1 , with the local cuisine being a product of the local culture and the natural environment.
