The study analyzes annual data from 1991-2020 focuses on India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh and uses co-integration and granger causality tests to determine that every country is at a distinct stage of outreach based on factors such as population, resources, and international trade. Results declare that FDI, economic development, and exports have robust relationship. The study concludes that creating a favorable environment for investors can increase foreign investment, leading to increase per capita GDP growth within the country

Following the abolishment, the mode of election has been changed with the appointment of mayors and councillors in each local government level. However, in the past few years, especially after the 12th Malaysian General Election, this issue became debated among the Malaysian, not only the politicians and political parties, but also from non-governmental organisations and the people. Among the main reason why this election has not been able to be practiced in Malaysia is due to the absence of laws to allow this election to be held. Therefore, this paper attempts to discuss about the local government election issue within the context of legal perspective. Methodology/Technique - This study adopted the qualitative approach to provide reliable data and information needed by conducting elite interviews with two constitutional experts and three delegates from Pakatan Rakyat and n...

It reveals some of the complexities and potential risks to the children living on streets. The research was conducted in Islamabad-Rawalpindi and data was collected through a survey and in-depth interviews from boys aged between 7-18 years. The paper illustrates that children who escaped insecure and unfriendly environment at home were in turn exposed to insecurity, abuse and harassment in the public spaces. Yet, the findings show that despite the various problems encountered on the streets the respondents asserted on having a sense of agency. To reduce and overcome the vulnerability of the street children and to ensure their inclusion in the society the research recommends that the phenomenon requires serious attention which should be in interdisciplinary ways with interventions at multiple levels. Combined efforts are required on part of government, anti-poverty programmes and civil...

It suggests and tests a positive relationship between gender equality initiatives (human resource, work-life and sex-based harassment prevention initiatives) and women’s representation at management, non-management levels and organisational levels, derived from the signaling theory. It also suggests and tests the moderating effect of gender composition of the top management team on the main relationships, derived from the upper echelon theory. Archival Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) data from 405 organisational reports were used. The findings partially support the proposed hypotheses. Theoretical, research and practical implications are discussed.

The dyes were synthesized using substituted aryl amines and substituted amino hydroxy sulfonic acid as diazo and coupling components, respectively. The antimicrobial activity was explored by Agar-Well Diffusion method using 100 mg/ml dye concentration. The results demonstrated that the dyes possess varying degrees of activities against the bacterial strains tested and the structure of the dye molecules was found to have considerable influence on their antimicrobial activity.

Such organo-metallic frameworks (OMFs) function as a potential material for practical application. Even though these particular organo-metallic frameworks are in the early developmental stage but considerable advancements have been carried out recently. We studied the characterization of zirconium-based organo-metallic frameworks. We built Zr-based OMFs by four different synthetic ways. Initially, upgraded preparation under green and commercially feasible conditions has been carried out by modifying Zr-OMFs. Zirconium based OMFs having different structures are then classified and explained based on various organic ligands and zirconium-based secondary building units. We have synthesized the zirconium metal complexes; they have been characterized on the bases of FT-IR and CHNS analyzer. FT-IR results show binding of metal with th...

This study aims to theorize and test a model linking efforts to support diversity and organizational value of diversity with job satisfaction and organizational identification and to propose that these relationships are mediated by an organization’s diversity climate. Design/methodology/approach Employee survey was used to collect data from employees at an Australian manufacturing organization. Structural equation modelling in AMOS was performed for the proposed model, controlling for age and gender. Findings The mediating role of diversity climate in the relationship of organizational value of diversity and outcomes (job satisfaction and organizational identification) is significant. The authors discuss theoretical, research and practical contributions. Originality/value The present study extends the literature by testing a mediation model derived from the signalling and social exchange theories.

Flexibility stigma refers to the negative sanctions received by those who seek flexible work practices to manage work and family requirements. Using stigma theory, this study investigates the effect of flexibility stigma on employee well‐being and turnover intentions. Drawing on ecological systems theory, it also investigates the effect of flexibility stigma on flexible work practices usage. Further, integrating the above‐mentioned two theories, this study predicts the mediating role of flexible work practices usage in the flexibility stigma–employee outcomes relationship. Using survey data from 293 employees of an Australian organisation, we found that stigma has a negative effect on employee well‐being, a positive effect on turnover intentions, and a negative effect on flexible work practices usage. We also found pioneering evidence for the proposed partial mediation effect. Theoretical, research and practi...

The contaminants discharge in the dye processing causes the water pollution. Banana peel is a potential agriculture waste that can be used to reduce the concentration of color from synthetic dye effluents. This study is aim to determine the potential of banana peel as agricultural waste adsorbent for Methylene Blue (MB) removal at different contact time (15minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, 150 minutes, and 180 minutes) and different adsorbent dosage (0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, and 0.4 gram) and to develop kinetic model for Methylene Blue (MB) removal. The experiments were conducted at room temperature using batch study. As the banana peel dosage is added from 0.05 g to 0.4 g in 100 ml of Methylene Blue solution, the percentage of MB solution removal also increase from 34.69 % to 86.88 %,...

Little is known about which age diversity practices and programmes are effective in which types of organisations for which outcomes. Derived from social exchange theory, this paper proposes and tests positive relationships between age diversity practices and organisational outcomes and work‐life programmes and organisational outcomes. Derived from contingency theory, it also proposes and tests for a moderating effect of diversity perspective (fairness and discrimination vs. synergy) on the two main relationships. Data were collected from 248 medium to large‐sized for‐profit organisations. The results partially support both main effect hypotheses and one moderating effect hypothesis. The findings suggest different organisational outcomes for age diversity practices and work‐life programmes. Theoretical and practical implicat...
