Design: Observational study. Setting: Rama's Fertility Clinic, Hyderabad, A.P. Participant(s): One hundred patients with idiopathic oligozoospermia [sperm count < 10 Â 10 6 /ml). Intervention(s): Both groups were randomly assigned to receive native (allopathy) and alternative (herbal) medicine for 12 -13 weeks. Main outcome Measure(s): Before and after treatment, standardized semen were obtained for determination of sperm concentration, motility and morphology, according to World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Effects of two treatments were studied separately. Result(s): There were significant differences in the sperm count, motile count and progressive straight line motility in alternative medicine group. Conclusion(s): The findings of this study demonstrate that alternative medicine increases the sperm volume, count and motility in idiopathic patients with oligozoospermia. D
