The purpose of this study to analyze the characteristics of carrageenan seaweed cultivated with bag and non-bag cultivation systems and different seed weights. The research was conducted in the waters of Bone Bay and the Laboratory of the Indonesian Center for Brackish Water Cultivation and Fisheries Extension in Maros. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of factor A (using bags and non-bags), and factor B (seed weight 15, 50, 75, 100, and 125 g). The results showed that the cultivation method factor, seed weight factor, and their interaction had an effect on carrageenan yield, gel strength, ash content and water content (P<0.05). Different cultivation systems with different initial seed weight combinations showed different best results for each parameter. The highest value of yield of carrageenan was observed in the bag culture system with a seed weight of 100 g, namely 29.18 ± 1.10%. The highest value of gel strength was observed in the non-bagged cultivation system with a seed weight of 75 g, namely 1344.69 ± 18.43 g/cm 2. The highest value of ash content was found in the non-bagged cultivation system with 125 g of seed weight, namely 30.02 ± 0.13%. The highest value of water content was found in the bag culture system at a seed weight of 15 g, namely 38.63 ± 0.26%. Different cultivation methods and seed weight resulted in other carrageenan characteristics of seaweed for each parameter.

This is because some of the advantages possessed by the vannamei shrimp, among others, can be maintained with a high stocking density, rapid growth, has a high resistance to disease and environmental changes. The mating process occurs through four stages, namely approach, pursuit, pride, and mating. This process can be known by looking at the behavior of the male parent who swims to follow the female parent. They both looked like a chase. Then the male parent swims parallel to the female and turns her body towards the female shrimp's belly. After that, the male grabs the female and releases sperm that attach to the thellycum. In the maintenance of larvae that must be considered is the management of water quality and feed management. This is because water is a living medium for aquatic organisms, so it determines the survival of larvae. During the period of high maintenance and market, demand continues to increase where the shrimp farming process includes the hatchery stage to enlargement. Vannamei shrimp hatchery activities are inseparable from the availability of quality fry.

Due to climate change, the average global temperature has increased by 1.5°C in the last century, which may have caused an increase in farmed fish mortality recently. Predictions using the model estimate that a 1°C increase in temperature could cause 3%–4% and 4%–6% mortality due to infectious diseases in organisms living in warm and temperate waters, respectively. There is a need to determine whether there is a relationship between increasing environmental temperature and disease virulence. This review examines the influence and impact of increasing temperatures due to climate change on the physiology and pathogenicity of Streptococcus agalactiae, which causes streptococcosis in tilapia and causes significant economic losses. Changes in the pathogenicity of S. agalactiae, especially its virulence properties due to increasing temperature, require changes in the composition design of the fish vaccine formula to provide better protection through the production of protective antibodies.

KATA KUNCI: fraksinasi; gejala klinis; Streptococcus agalactiae; sintasan; ikan nila ABSTRACT: Toxicity of whole cells and extracelluar product (ECP) of -hemolytic and non-hemolytic Streptococcus agalactiae in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).
