The MLC was designed to ensure that seafarers receive decent working conditions on board ships, without any difference regardless their nationality. The convention sets out minimum requirements to be met by authorities, shipping companies, for seafarer's employment rights, working conditions, and social protection.

The challenge for engineers, architects, and builders consists of using and combining them as effectively as possible to ensure maximum comfort at the lowest possible cost. When designing a building, one should bear in mind that the success or failure of the project is based primarily on ensuring internal environmental comfort, as it has been proven that residents who live in an environment that contributes to a healthy and comfortable lifestyle are more satisfied and productive. Unfortunately, this fact is often overlooked, as it is easier to focus on the initial cost of a project rather than to determine the value of the improved health and productivity of the user as well as the reduction of the subsequent costs. Through measurements performed in different seasons and periods, it has been proven that the ther...

I INTRODUCTION The influence of the carbon content of austenite on the structure of the pearlite ... more I INTRODUCTION The influence of the carbon content of austenite on the structure of the pearlite was studied in this article. It is pointed out that interlamellar spacing of pearlite and percentage of ferrite decrease with the transformation temperature. It was found that the carbon content in pearlite depends on carbon content of the steel and temperature of transformation, which is both determining the percentage of free ferrite. The influence of free ferrite has been eliminated by using cooling rates fast enough for obtaining a fully pearliticstructure in steels between 0.45 and 1 %C. Today heat treatment process is widely used to achieve high mechanical properties. Major requirements of medium carbon steel are high yield strength, high proportional limit, and high fatigue strength. These desirable properties of medium carbon steel can be achieved by adding suitable alloying elements and secondly by heat treatment. Heat treatment is a combination of timed heating and cooling appl...

For this purpose, we have produced concrete of class C30/37 with aggregates from mountain quarry. Meanwhile, we have not changed other components of concrete. Water – cement report is 0.4-0.61. During experimental faze, are done comparisons of resistance to compression, water and chlorides penetration for specimens of concrete which are curing in normal environment (N) and in marine environment (A). Concrete cubes produced, were treated in marine and normal environment for 3, 7 and 28 days in Durres coastal city, Albania. Finally, results are compared to each other and conclusions are made on this basis.

On February 16, 2013 was approved the Local General Territorial Plan of Tirana by the Council of Ministers. According to this, Tirana city territory was divided in 11 structural units and each of them has a number of sub-units. On September 2013, started the process of designing 77 LGP of different sub-units of Tirana city. Following the recent urban developments of Tirana city, this paper aim is to analyse LDP problematic at sub-unit level. Through this can be point out which are the most important issues regarding new plans and real situation, form the designing to the implementation process. For this analysis, we will take in consideration two different sub-unit located in different areas, presenting different characteristics. Then we will analyse their relevant characteristics in relation to the LDP indicators proposed. Some final conclusions and recommendations will be drawn on...

Untreated rainwater which is used for business purposes, was analysed for water quality based on twelve months of monitoring data. From May 2021 to May 2022, rainwater samples were taken by analysing the quantity and quality parameters. Samples were collected from different points within a rainwater harvesting systems we had installed in a business serving as a vehicle service. In order to evaluate the quality of atmospheric water were measured physic - chemical and bacteriological parameters of rainwater. Also, with the help of water meters we measured the amount of rainwater precipitation for a year collected in water tanks that we have installed in this business. From the measurements has result that the average amount of rainwater collected was 46 500 litres/year of water. This amount d...

In terms of land suitability, GIS helps the user to define which locations are most appropriate or inappropriate for certain developments. Consequently, GIS as a tool becomes more important to provide support for decision makers. This analysis takes into account environmental and socioeconomic factors as determinant of urban land development. This analysis requires first finding spatial, environmental and socioeconomic constraints and then finding the land suitable for development of residential areas according to specified criteria's. Hence, two preliminary results derive mainly from this analysis, such as composite (raster) map of restrictions for housing developments, and composite (raster) map of suitability housing development. Once these two composite maps are completed using specified GIS operations and functions, it is created the final map of site suitability for housing development. In creating the final map several factors had been used in total to establish the restriction model and also many criteria's divided into five classes for establishing a map of land suitability for residential development in Prishtina city, namely in the study area.

Specifications has limited the quartz content of aggregates for use in concrete that is subjected to high temperatures because of the conversion to beta-quartz at 573°C (1063°F), with accompanying volume increase. Heavy fermion degrees of freedom are introduced in terms of two types of heavy-fermion effective theories, in other words, two heavy-fermion limits for the heavy Dirac fermion, which are known as the heavyquark effective theories (HQETs) in high-energy physics. While the first one includes only the heavy-particle component, the second one contains both the heavy-particle and heavy-antiparticle components, which are opposite in their parity. From these theories, we obtain two types of Kondo effects, in which the dispersions near the Fermi surface are very similar, but they differ in the structure at low momentum. We also classify the possible forms of condensates in the two limits. The two Kondo effects will be examined by experiments with Dirac/Weyl semimetals or quark matter, lattice simulations, and cold-atom simulations.
