Birth defect generally can be detected during the prenatal period. However, if this cannot be detected during the prenatal period, it can be identified at the post natal examination. Congenital Bilateral Absence Vas Difference (CBAVD) is of one the congenital defects characterized by Azoospermia causing the occurrence of infertility. This congenital defect can bring impact to the structural, functional and metabolism anomalies. Approximately 7.9 million children in the world (about 6% of the whole anomalies in the world) were born with serious congenital defects every year due to genetic anomaly or other post-conception. The determination of optimal output from PCR optimization to obtain the location of ΔF 508-T mutant on CBAVD patients in Indonesia is conducted pursuant to the gene target. The conclution were influence of various factors as the indicator specifying the mutation of ΔF 508-T mutant needs to be considered in making a decision for the preliminary research on CBAVD in Indonesia.

The virus is so contagious it needs a precise drug for treating patients who contract it. The purpose of this study is to observe trends and relevant points of information about Remdesivir in global big data. This article describes a new method of collecting data, namely data mining from Google trends. The subjects under consideration is how Remdesivir is used in the USA, Russia, and India, as they are the current countries with the most COVID-19-positive cases. This method enabled us to discover how many topics on the internet related to Remdesivir, as well as how strong the relevance of this topic was in those three countries. The results shows that the USA had the biggest relevance score in the information search (8.86 points), but the information trends were quite static. Russia had fluctuating trends but the lowest relevance score. India had a dynamic trend recently and a higher relevance score than Russia. It can be concluded that medical authorities are the cause behind information trends for Remdesivir in these three countries that have approved clinical trials for the use of Remdesivir as a COVID-19 treatment.

This study aimed to determine the effects of tomato juice on the number of Leydig cells and the diameter of the seminiferous tubules of mice exposed to lead acetate. Twentyfive male mice were divided into five groups. Mice in the control (C-) group were given placebos. Meanwhile, mice in C+, T1, T2, and T3 groups were exposed to lead acetate at a dose of 100 mg/kg BW/day for 14 days and given tomato juice respectively at 0, 0.16, 0.32, and 0.64 mL/day from day 8 to day 35. On day 36, all mice were sacrificed, and the testes were collected for histological preparation. The result showed that lead exposure in the C+ group decreased (p <0.05) in the number of Leydig cells and the diameter of the seminiferous tubules compared to the mice in group C-. Administration of tomato juice in groups T1, T2, and T3 increased (p <0.05) the number of Leydig cells and the diameter of seminiferous tubule compared to the mice in the C+ and C-groups. However, tomato juice administration to the T3 group decreased the number of Leydig cells and the diameter of the seminiferous tubules (p <0.05) compared to the T2 group. In conclusion, an effective dose of 0.32 mL/day of tomato juice restored Leydig cell number and seminiferous tubules diameter in mice exposed to lead acetate.

Broiler's embryo needs to be given attention, especially against disease. The purpose of the study was to observe the trend of the research topic and external factors which could affect the embryo's growth of broiler. Methods This study used meta-data from Scopus. There were 162 samples started from 2006-to 2022. The data were analyzed using a bibliometric method with two software, Vosviewer, and Biblioshiy from R studio. Results It was found that the study of broiler chicken embryos had developed well, especially those related to genetics, disease, and also the immunity system. But the result showed that topics about the disease, viruses, and bacteria were more popular than topics about the gene. The result also showed that based on the importance and development of topics, the words such as "chicken", "genes", "development", "effect", growth", and "control" had importance for the study and developed well in research. It means that genes influenced the growth of the embryo of a chicken. But still, even though a chicken gene was predetermined, the genetic engineering of chicken insemination to produce a superior breed with a fast-growing rate of the embryo could be used. Conclusions It could be stated that disease, especially research about the virus is one of the main determinants that could affect the growth of the embryo of broiler chicken.

The studies about reproductive biology aspects were limited. Aim: This study aimed to determine the morphology, histology, and histometry of V. salvator paryphasmata and hemibaculum based on Snout-Vent Length (SVL) as an indicator of sexual maturity. Methods: This study examined 18 pairs of hemipenis of V. salvator with SVL more and less than 40 cm in equal number. Paryphasmata and hemibaculum parts were observed visually and micro-sliced, then stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE). The histological observation was conducted under a 40×, 100×, and 400× magnification of a light microscope. The histometry of the paryphasmata was examined using 13 Megapixels Coolpad and OptiLab Plus for microscopic pictures. The chondrocyte cell area was measured using the Optilab Plus and Image Raster three applications. Results: The sizes of glans of hemipenis, paryphasmata, and hemibaculum increased according to the increasing of SVL. The average paryphasmata row number, epidermis, and loose connective tissue thickness were not significantly different (p > 0.05). However, dense connective tissue was thicker (p < 0.05), which corresponds to SVL. Hemibaculum was composed of fibrous and hyaline cartilage characterized by chondrocyte cells. The SVL also affects (p < 0.05) the ossification of hyaline in hemipenis, while the chondrocyte cell area followed the equation −1.87E7 + 7.09E5* SVL. Conclusion: The SVL size of V. salvator affects the paryphasmata, hemibaculum, thickness of dense connective tissue of paryphasmata, and the area of chondrocyte cells.

Carbofuran, kebar grass extract, and vitamin C are exposed orally postnatal day 1 st until the 14 th postnatal day after delivery. Forty-two mice adults in the lactation period were randomly into seven groups. This group consisted of K (aquadest control), P1 (carbofuran ¼ LD50 0.0125 mg/day), P2 (carbofuran 1/8 LD50 0.00625 mg/day), P3 (kebar grass extract 3.375 mg + carbofuran ¼ LD50), P4 (kebar grass extract 3.375 mg + carbofuran 1/8LD50), P5 (vitamin C 0.2 cc + carbofuran ¼ LD50), and P6 (vitamin C 0.2 cc + carbofuran 1/8 LD50). On the 15 th day of experimental, offspring were randomly selected and dissected, and the kidney was taken to make a histopathology sample. This study shows that carbofuran caused increased tubular degeneration, necrosis, and inflammation. Kebar grass extract could decrease tubular degeneration, necrosis, and inflammation. Kebar grass extract was more effective than vitamin C in reducing kidney damage in mice offspring during the lactation period from parents exposed to carbofuran.
In vitro fertilization is assisted reproduction technology that can overcome infertility problems... more In vitro fertilization is assisted reproduction technology that can overcome infertility problems. This method can produce embryos with high quality in large quantities. In its application, the success rate of IVF is still relatively low. This is due to the poor quality of oocytes and spermatozoa, which can cause IVF failure. The absence of oocyte activation during fertilization also results in failure of fertilization. Calcium ionophore is known to be able to increase the oocyte activation process. This study aims to prove that Calcium ionophore can increase the rate of fertilization in goat oocytes in vitro. This study was divided into two groups: the control group was fertilized oocytes using a medium without Calcium ionophore supplementation, the treatment group was fertilized oocytes using a medium supplemented with Calcium ionophore at a dose of 5.2 µl/ml. Fertilization rates are observed based on the formation of zygote or two pronuclear (2PN) in the cytoplasm of oocytes and observed under an inverted microscope. The data obtained were analyzed using the T test. The results of the study after being analyzed statistically showed that there were significant differences between the control group and the treatment group (P<0.05). Fertilization rates in the treatment group (93.12±13.7) showed higher results than the control group (65.96±28.36). Based on these results it can be concluded that calcium ionophore supplementation at a dose of 5.2 µl/ml in the fertilization medium can increase oocyte activation thereby increasing the rate of oocyte fertilization of the goat nuts.

Goats and sheep in Indonesia are susceptible to infestation of this digestive tract parasite due to the influence of the wet tropical climate which is very beneficial for survival and facilitates transmission. Gastrointestinal worms are often found in livestock which can cause a decrease in growth rate and health. Some of the food substances in livestock are consumed by worms, causing tissue damage in animals. This situation can also cause livestock to be more sensitive to various deadly diseases. As a result of intestinal worm infestation can reduce goat productivity. This study aimed to identify Moniezia, Sp in goat intestines in Indonesia. This research method is by using PCR, sequencing, and alignment of amino acids using Blast, the amino acid Moniezia benedeni in bovine intestines was analyzed using Swiss Prot software to determine the three-dimensional structure. The prediction of B cell epitope is conducted using IEDB software. To measure allergen levels and toxicity, this study uses AllerTop and ToxinPred software. The result shows that Moniezia benedini was found in goat intestines. Further research is needed on Moniezia benedeni so that it can be used as a diagnostic kit or vaccine seed.

It also expected to increase the growth and proliferation of brain cells. This study aimed to analyze Apis mellifera Propolis Extract as a Stimulator of Brain Cell Development in Experimental Animals. This research is an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The research consisted of making Propolis Extract, Making Media (DMEM Stock Media, Washing Media, Culture and Treatment Media), Brain Cell Isolation and Culture, Observation of Culture Results (Cell Viability, Population Doubling Time, The results found that all treatments with propolis extract showed higher average viability than the control, which had average viability of 86.3%. Based on PDT (Population Doubling Time value), propolis extract has a good effect on brain cell growth, hence increasing cell proliferation. In addition, the confluent brain cells of rats given propolis extract had higher average confluency than those not given propolis extract. Propolis extract can protect neurons from damage by increasing the brain-derivated neurotrophic factor (BDNF) gene expression in cell line neuron cultures.
