](Resumen E STE ARTÍCULO PRESENTA UN PANORAMA DE LA HISTORIA DE LA ANTROPOLOGÍA EN EL PERÚ, TO-mand... more Resumen E STE ARTÍCULO PRESENTA UN PANORAMA DE LA HISTORIA DE LA ANTROPOLOGÍA EN EL PERÚ, TO-mando en cuenta sus distintas etapas: 1) el indigenismo literario; 2) la influencia del culturalismo estadounidense; 3) el impacto de las teorías del desarrollo; 4) la influencia del marxismo; y 5) la bancarrota del llamado –paradigma andinista–. Se sostiene a lo largo del artículo que el aporte central de la antropología peruana fue contribuir a la articulación nacional-mediante las monografías etnográficas-explo-rando territorios ignotos tanto en el sentido literal como geográfico de la palabra, como también en sentido metafórico: incursionando en ámbitos socioculturales y temporales antes desconocidos. Abstract T HIS ARTICLE PRESENTS AN OVERVIEW OF THE HISTORY OF ANTHROPOLOGY IN PERU, TAKING INTO ACcount its distinct phases: 1. Literary indigenism, 2. The influence of north American culturalism, 3. The impact of development theories, 4. The influence of marxism, and 5. The bankrupcy of the so-called " Andeanist paradigm ". We argue that the central contribution of Peruvian anthropology was towards national articulation-by means of ethnographic monographs-exploring undiscovered territories both in the literal and geographical sense of the word, as well as metaphorically: going into sociocultural and temporal ambits previously unknown.
