The purpose of this paper is to trace the relationship between emotional intelligence, job satisfaction and job performance based on data collected from women employed in the Information Technology (IT) sector in India. This study adopted the survey research methodology and data were collected using questionnaires comprising of standardised tools. Randomly identified women employed in the IT sector (N = 150) constituted the sample. Among others, data analysis revealed that there was a statistically significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence, job satisfaction and job performance and that emotional intelligence and job satisfaction significantly served to predict the variance in job performance.

This study is an effort to understand the impact of occupational stress which is classified into ... more This study is an effort to understand the impact of occupational stress which is classified into four constructs i.e. pressure at work, support at work, job satisfaction, and nature of job, on the personality of employees working in public as well as private sector universities. To conduct the study, a survey questionnaire was floated to six universities: two public sector and four private sector. These universities were selected on convenience bases and respondents from these universities were selected based on purposive sampling technique. The data was found reliable through cronbach alpha. In order to analyse data, correlation followed by multiple regression were applied as statistical tools. Analysis showed that all variables of occupational stress have significant impact over employees' personality and overall model is significant at 99.9% confidence interval.

Purpose: This study mainly investigates the factors, like job satisfaction, affective commitment,... more Purpose: This study mainly investigates the factors, like job satisfaction, affective commitment, perceived organizational support and distributive justice as antecedents of turnover intentions. Methodolgy: This study utilized the quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 200 employees working in leading business schools of Karachi, Pakistan. The correlation and regression analyses have been performed. Findings: The results of the study revealed that, all the predictors negatively correlated and influenced turnover intention. Practical Implitation: The findings and framework of this study will be useful to the university organizations, in identifying the factors making the employees working with them to quit. Pakistan is believed to be the potential Market for Investment in Education. This empirical attempt can be used as kick start for investment in this sector. By taking corrective measures the university organizations can retain knowledge workers, and avoid the anguishes of new hiring.
