seasonedsex is for those among us who have been sexually active for a number of years, and who desire a more mature environment for expressing our sexual questions, stories, and advice.

Statistically speaking, the vast majority of LiveJournal users are in their late teens, a time of sexual awakening for most people, when sexual knowledge may be at a minimum. There is an abundance of communities on LJ that provide sex tips and are wonderful for people like this, but often lack appeal to those who are seasoned in their sexual maturity and experiences. That's where this community comes in.

Anyone is welcome to join, regardless of age, sexual orientation, or gender. All we ask is that you be a sexually mature, seasoned love-maker, who wishes to share or learn of experiences with and about others of the same mind.

A few simple rules:

*** The type of language you use is your choice (for example,** there's about a million names for "vagina": Pussy, cunt, vulva, etc.), but please avoid terms that would be universally offensive. *** Any sexist, homophobic, or fatphobic language, or bashing of** any sort, will not be tolerated. *** Although this community was designed to avoid the "beginner's" questions commonly seen in other journals, very occasionally we will get a post from someone just starting their sexual journey. Unless these types of posts become habitual and take away from the overall theme and feeling of seasonedsex, I ask that you do not take it upon yourself to tell these posters that they don't belong here. It would be ok, however, to politely refer them to a community that would better suit their needs, but downright telling them that they should leave will not be tolerated. This isn't an elite "club" of seasoned love-makers, since everyone has a different opinion on what it means to be sexually mature.** *** Because the ages of members will not be checked, please do not** post nude photos, though artful ones are allowed under a clearly labeled LJ cut, which warns that the post is not suitable for those under 18 (We're not against internet exhibitionism here at all, but there are many other communities who have that as their sole purpose). *** You are welcome to be as open or as reserved as you wish. Do** not force others to reveal information they aren't comfortable revealing.

Lastly, topics can run the gamut. I'm not an "off-topic" czar by any means, so pretty much anything goes, as long as it somehow relates back to the ultimate goal of the community. Feel free to email me at any time if there is a situation that is making you uncomfortable, or that you think needs improvement.
