Cooler than a parking ticket

Physically I'm 5'11" and about 160lbs with blue eyes and short brown hair. I am originally from the North of England, studied at Cambridge University and worked as an auditor in London. I have been living in the US since Feb 2000 when I married a Southern redhead. I was divorced in Jan 2004. During the married years I lived in North-East Alabama, but I moved to Iowa City for a new job and a fresh start on my life in Aug 2004. And in 2007 I moved to downtown Chicago and started working remotely. Amazingly after all this time I have retained most of my English accent, but the Southern y'alls and usetacoulds are dying hard. And for some reason, shopping carts are still buggys... even though I hate the term.

What can you expect from this journal? There are periods of frenzied posting while I procrastinate, some reminiscing complete with life story anecdotes, a smattering of drunken rambling, some recounting of love-life ups and downs, and a predominance of day-to-day humor from my life. One thing I can promise is an abundance of fine Britishness - from lingo, to phraseology to wit.

Thanks to a large amount of foolishness on my part, the majority of my posts are friends-locked but there is occasionally public juice. I *friend* most reasonable requests, provided you are not obviously psychotic, stalkerish or outrageously tedious. Have fun!
