Hopefully this sort of post is allowed, I'll keep it short :) In 1982 I was three so I didn't grow up watching Knight Rider, I didn't even know it existed until a friend introduced me to it a few months ago, so I'm a newbie! ;) Got a hold of the first three seasons of KR and really liked it, and I'm enjoying the new series quite a bit, despite its many flaws. I have hope for KR2008, only time will tell.I'm also a bit of Transformers fangirl, so a transforming KITT just makes me smile ;)Also...I need more KR icons, I made this one *points up* but it's my only one at the moment. HI everyone! I'm brand new to this community, though I've loved KR since back in the day. With the recent movie, I've rekindled my interest, and added it to my stable of childhood TV that I'm revisiting (I'm also an Airwolf fan =) )Anyway, I have a lot of ideas swirling in my head, but this is something I cooked up the other day.Note: I know Sarah Graiman didn't know much about the new KITT (or perhaps its predecessor) according to the new movie, but I've stretched that a little bit. First, the question; which season do you folks think is the best? Say, imagine you are a poor college student with ten places for every dollar and you can get only one for your birthday.Second the introduction: I am so new to this fandom you can smell the paint. My first awareness that this 'verse existed came from the sample episode they had on the A-Team season 2 boxset--that was a season 2 episode where Michael had to bust some guy out of jail and Kitt is all OH HAI WE R DESPERADOS. (This is less than a month ago.)After this I went and read all the fic on FF.Net that was neither slash nor drek...which led to some confusion. "Who's this Bonnie person?" first and foremost. XD Y'all are the best fandom ever. Seriously, the whumping and H/C?...second to none. Then I went and made the un- fiscally sound choice of impulse-buying a season. (I got season 3 'cause it was used and cheapest. *embarrassed cough*)So here I am, becoming briefly obsessed. You might see my rather dreadful fiction attempts at some point--at the moment I am mightily resisting the self-indulgent plot bunny of "Kitt gets AllSpark-ized and then they have adventures and at some point sh!t happens and they get sent back in time to season 1 and even though Michael is now an old guy everybody thinks he's cool!" Hi - After some encouragement from a corner or two, I decided to join. My name's Lyn and I've been writing and RPing Knight Rider for a couple years now, and started playing Kitt at a certain panfandom RP which a lot of my fics come from. It's a few years of backstory with a couple seasons left to go, but I'm also writing some other ideas.The one that I'm offering for my intro is a setting vignette from a series that ended a little awkwardly. It's based on a slightly-altered Knight Rider 2000 canon, mainly answering what happened to all the women the movie seemed to neglect. So, without further adieu... Just a note for those of you who chat with me on IM (and those who want to) - my screen name has changed to elfinessy.And while I'm here, I want to leave feedback for Tomy. She's been looking after the CMAU for years because she knows how completely useless I am once I skip off to another fandom (she's put up with enough new characters thrown her way!). I have no idea what I'm doing! I don't know it this is going to go to the right place or not. Something odd - I started this LJ ages ago and posted one update before wondering off (as is my tendency). Now I've come back and found I have friends!
