Methodologically supported in the critical dialectical perspective the text seeks to demonstrate the advances and setbacks of the process of building democracy, as well as the impasses to social participation resulting from the authoritarian, clientelist and elitist political culture that historically crosses the Brazilian State and the different social institutions. The study highlights the advances achieved with the 1988 Constitution, as well as the setbacks operated as a result of the neoliberal logic deepened in the government of Michel Temer and Jair Bolsonaro in order to weaken social participation and democratic control in the scope of public policies, such as education. However, it also shows that despite the setbacks that have occurred in this scope, the social participation remains alive and the fight for the strengthening and expansion of participatory democracy has been happening in opposition to the logic of the destruction of the Brazilian participatory heritage built over the last 30 years.

The various instances responsible for promoting education encounter difficulties in operationalizing and consolidating student participation, either through Student Unions or other forms of participation. Difficulty that, in part, arises from the resistance of individual managers. The investigation presents possibilities for student participation. It highlights the democratic value of the inducing role of the PNE and SMEs, but it also imposes the urgency of the action of extrastate organizations, oriented to form, accompany, monitor and evaluate the implantation processes, the instrumentalization and the validity of constitutive elements of the Municipal Systems of Teaching/Education.

The investigative path was initially developed through a bibliographic review with the aim of conceptual deepening, followed by a referential inventory from the survey of theses and dissertations on the portal of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), seeking to identify research carried out from 2014 to 2021, which place the supervised curricular internship in the initial training of teachers and the supervised curricular internship in the formative singularity of the degree in Rural Education. The research aimed to verify the notion of hybrid teaching proposed implicitly by the opinion, to make explicit its social, cultural, and ideological connections and predict the impacts of this alignment on pedagogical work. Through a critical document analysis supported by critical discourse analysis procedures, it questions the notion of blended learning built into the document, revealing its links to the flexible accumulation’s educational discourse. The paper points out elements in the textual construction and shows that the flexibility of teaching spaces and times operated by digital information and communication technologies mediation, as proposed in the document, would favor the implementation of a pedagogy of competencies aligned with hegemonic ideological perspectives. It also evidences that the articulation between these factors would lead to the impairment and precariousness of teacher training, impacting the guarantee of the right to education and perpetuating inequality and exclusion of the working class. Thus, the text concludes that there is an urgent need for education workers to lead the debate on the use of contemporary technologies in teaching, considering work as an educational principle and maintaining the centrality of the proposals in the teacher-student pedagogical relationship.

Revista Brasileira de Educação do Campo Brazilian Journal of Rural Education, 2023

This article aims to analyze the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) carried out in the Bachelor'... more This article aims to analyze the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) carried out in the Bachelor's degree course in Field Education (UFMA), based on the premise that the program seeks to encourage classroom experience and establish an interaction between academic research and teacher theory-practice. The purpose of the program developed by UFMA was to enhance didactics and methodologies based on the paradigm of field education and the Historical-Critical Pedagogy, having three public schools in the rural areas of Maranhão as an empirical space. During the course, UFMA professors and students sought to identify the limits and possibilities of the PRP in these territories, both for the undergraduate students and for the field schools. It is emphasized that, for the realization of this article, data obtained by UFMA itself and reports were used, which involved diagnosis, evaluation and self-evaluation of the students, qualitative-quantitative research, and a survey of the reality in which the course took place, carried out through bibliographic and documentary research and fieldwork, including interviews, questionnaires, and direct observation with reports. It was evidenced, from the collected data, that the materialization of the PRP presented limits related to a possible linkage to teacher training policy and a utilitarian view of education, as well as in the operationalization by the university and public basic education schools. At the same time, the program demonstrates the potential of the theory-practice relationship to train students capable of managing educational processes, developing pedagogical strategies that aim at the formation of critical and autonomous human subjects, with educational principles that aim at human emancipation.

In Brazil, for example, these guidelines directly impact several sectors, including education. Educational praxis is sometimes influenced by proposals for programs related to the government, as well as educational policies, as these, in addition to incorporating these guidelines, are also capable of establishing regulations with regard to the legal field. The main objective of this research is to promote discussion in relation to Neoliberalism and educational planning in times of regression, considering globalization and the restructuring of capitalism. For its realization, a theoretical approach was used to explore the theme, having as main authors, Bordignon (2014), Fernandes (1976); Ferreira (2021), Freitas (2012), Bobbio (2000) among others, which covered the aforementioned theme. Neoliberalism brought with it a series of problems, because with the exacerbation of the capitalist tendency and universal commodification, everything is transformed into merchandise, including education.

Rural Education (CE), on the other hand, is a type of education aimed at rural dwellers, whether they live in camps, settlements or simply in rural areas. The choice of appropriate strategies for teaching young people and adults and for rural education are fundamental to the successful development of the teaching-learning process. In view of this, the aim of this study was to analyze the didactic strategies most used by science teachers in the EJA and Rural Education modality, identifying whether or not these strategies help during lessons. A bibliographic survey was carried out in online databases, whose search tools were the CAPES/MEC Journal Portal and SciELO. The results showed that, in some articles, the didactic strategies used brought positive results, while in others, the strategies used did not help in the construction of knowledge. It was also observed that the strategies used in both types of education must be geared to the students' reality.

To this end, we conducted an external analysis of the discourses produced by Belisário Pena, in his two main publications of expression in the sanitation movement, in articulation with the ideas of Monteiro Lobato and Alberto Torres. Based on the expeditions through the backlands, Pena characterized a sick sanitary picture in the Brazilian countryside and put it in circulation with a messianic appeal for hygiene. The debates within the intelligentsia of the time favored the hygienist discourses, linking up with the thought of Torres and Lobato to approach the rural and agricultural production spaces. As for Lobato, Pena influenced the writer's view, and, on the other hand, his discourses were favored by the representations of rural backwardness conveyed by the literary debate. Finally, it is considered that the discourse invested by Pena highlighted the diseases and the physical precariousness of rural and agricultural workers in the hygienic debate of the 1910s, and reinforced the State's responsibility for guaranteeing hygiene in these spaces.

Therefore, the international political-economic scenario of Latin America in the late seventies and eighties is presented. It is intended to identify, in the same way, trends and constitutive concepts of educational policies, especially the particular use that is made of the notion of “competences”, based on documents from national organizations and multilateral agencies. To support the choices and discussions developed in the article, historical-dialectical materialism is used, as it makes it possible to historically analyze the changes in educational legislation. The results reveal that the educational policies of that period were based on the perspective of capital, following the orientation of international organizations, of a neoliberal nature.

The research involved the bibliographic and documentary study and allowed us to observe that in the logic of economic-mercantilist nature, the teacher training courses of Brazilian public universities also have been impacting to a large extent the teaching training process within the scope of UFT. The data collected revealed that most of the students of UFT Degrees do not graduate in ideal time, not even in the maximum time allowed, since in large part they drop out of the courses before their completion.

The research sought to understand the story of four young people in the struggle for land. The production of data used the sewing of arpillleras, students of the Josué de Castro Institute of Education, located in Viamão, Rio Grande do Sul. The embroideries were named: Occupy, Resist, Produce and Conquer. The analyzes were motivated by legal documents and theorists such as: Frantz Fanon, Milton Santos, Paulo Freire, among others. The study showed that: a) students do not give up their own pedagogy, they update the demands for the guarantee of human rights to contemporary subjects in the field; b) young people produce knowledge based on their concrete realities; c) individual memories of struggles cannot be understood apart from Social Memories; d) Rural Education is the ballast for the concreteness of the settlement, and the encampment is the place where the seed of the school is planted; e) the production of arpilleras as a tool for analysis has been transformed into powerful records of stories, revealing the transforming power of Art-Education in the liberating perspective.
