The rapid development of information and communication technology is currently pushing the mass m... more The rapid development of information and communication technology is currently pushing the mass media industry, especially newspapers, to make adjustments. The development of this technology has changed human habits in accessing information from the mass media. One adjustment to the development of digital technology is through media convergence. If one wants to survive in the digital era, convergence is absolutely necessary. This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies undertaken by the management of the Pikiran Rakyat newspaper to maintain its existence in the digital era. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with the management of the Pikiran Rakyat newspaper, as well as a literature review of previous research on the same topic. The analysis results show that the Pikiran Rakyat newspaper applies the multimedia, multichannel, and multiplatform (3M) strategy. According to the management, implementing this strategy is the answer to the dyna mic changes in people's perspectives on obtaining information. Hopefully, this research can serve as a reference for future media studies and information and communication technology researchers, and provide useful insights for the mass media industry as it adjusts to the current digital era.

The purpose of this study is to characterize the pattern of health communication in Islamic board... more The purpose of this study is to characterize the pattern of health communication in Islamic boarding schools within the framework of clean and healthy living behavior, sustaining each individual's reproductive health, and health in the new adapting era. Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that provide religious instruction based on Islamic religious beliefs and teachings. Several Islamic boarding schools offer health education to its pupils in addition to general and religious courses. Individual health communication is required, especially in current conditions such as these, where we have all survived the Covid-19 pandemic and are experiencing life with new normal conditions. The discussion method uses literature studies with decomposition, summarization, and drawing conclusions and tries to bring up new ideas that are relevant and up-to-date to be implemented in health communication patterns at Islamic boarding schools. Various studies show that the pattern of health communication carried out in Islamic boarding schools is persuasive communication that aims to influence the target person in the communication process. The health communication process that occurs aims to influence the behavior of those who are targeted in order to create the necessary conditions for improving health status as a result or consequence of the program. Information about health communication that is usually conveyed to students should be routinely carried out and practiced in the context of implementing healthy clean living in Islamic boarding schools.

TB is the leading cause of death in Indonesia and requires more comprehensive action, including in health communication. Indonesia ranks second after India in the number of TB cases and fourth in TB deaths in Asia. Efforts to address TB in Indonesia continue, including the implementation of more comprehensive prevention and treatment programs and effective health communication campaigns. However, the implementation of health communication in TB management in Indonesia still faces challenges such as infrastructure, policy, human resources, and community participation. Evaluation of the effectiveness of health communication implementation is also necessary to measure its impact on increasing public awareness, participation in prevention and treatment programs, and improving the quality of health services. This literature review describes the situation of TB in Indonesia, the role of health communication in TB management, factors influencing implementation, effectiveness evaluation, implementation challenges, and strategies to improve health communication implementation in TB management in Indonesia. This literature review can provide useful information for researchers, health practitioners, and policymakers in managing TB in Indonesia.

Remaja sebagai calon pengantin perlu dipersiapkan untuk menempuh kehidupan berkeluarga sebagai up... more Remaja sebagai calon pengantin perlu dipersiapkan untuk menempuh kehidupan berkeluarga sebagai upaya untuk mencegah masalah gizi pada balita atau stunting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi keluarga dalam penyiapan kehidupan berkeluarga bagi remaja untuk mencegah stunting. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi dokumen. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan adanya peran komunikasi keluarga dalam penyiapan kehidupan berkeluarga bagi remaja (PKBR) untuk mencegah stunting, terdiri dari peran orang tua sebagai pengambil keputusan dalam keluarga, peran keluarga dalam sebuah sistem komunikasi dan peran orang tua dalam mendukung hubungan baik anggota keluarga. Pada tataran praktis, diketahui ada hubungan komunikasi keluarga dengan status gizi balita, komunikasi keluarga dapat dicapai salah satunya melalui kredibilitas orang tua dalam menyampaikan pesan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat disarankan untuk mencegah stunting yaitu melalui peningkatan peran keluarga sebagai sebuah sistem komunikasi dalam penyiapan kehidupan berkeluarga bagi remaja. Advertising opportunities are so great because it is supported by a growing number of mass media both conventional and new media. Urban community was the main objective of this advertiser group, because their access to the mass media is much greater. The consequence to the result of an advertising exposure that are so intense and sporadic, there was a shift in lifestyle among urban communities, became consumptive. In addition to fulfill their life needs, they are also trying to fulfill every wish of their life.

This study delves into the impact of this phenomenon on information quality, journalistic ethics, and public trust in online media, with a specific focus on the strategies employed by Detik.com in selecting clickbait headline diction in January 2024. Through literature review analysis, the study aims to provide insights into the development of clickbait journalism, identify its impacts, and analyze the ethical aspects involved, contributing to a deeper understanding of the clickbait phenomenon in Indonesian online media.

The study adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research yields two main findings: the communication process and communication barriers. The communication process indicates that online food delivery services enable sellers and buyers to interact virtually through digital platforms. They can conduct transactions, exchange information, and provide feedback easily. Communication barriers exist in the interaction between sellers and buyers through online food delivery services. These barriers include limited expression of emotions, unclear written communication, and information security risks. To overcome these barriers, sellers and buyers need to develop good communication skills and understand the dynamics of communication in the digital environment. In conclusion, the digital cultural transformation has brought significant changes in the interpersonal communication interaction between sellers and buyers through online food delivery services. Despite the communication barriers, digital technology provides benefits in accelerating the communication process and expanding the scope of interaction between sellers and buyers. It is crucial for sellers and buyers to understand and address these barriers to ensure effective and satisfactory communication in the evolving digital environment.

Tuberculosis (TB) patients suffer physically and bear the economic burden as many patients cannot... more Tuberculosis (TB) patients suffer physically and bear the economic burden as many patients cannot work or generate income when ill. Concerning this issue, health communication plays a role in addressing the economic impact through advocacy strategies. This study aims to analyze how the economic impact and health communication advocacy conducted by Aisyiyah and Terjang NGOs contribute to TB patients' economic recovery in Bandung. This research adopts a cross-sectional approach involving data collection at a specific point in time. The findings indicate that the average percentage of patients who are the primary breadwinners of the family is 44.33%, patients who have lost their jobs is 82.33%, patients with loans is 38.67%, patients selling property is 55.67%, patients receiving government assistance is 68.33%, patients receiving assistance from private institutions is 21%, patients receiving assistance from family is 78%, and the median value of aid in the last three months is 21.83 USD. Aisyiyah and Terjang provide information on treatment costs, skills training, access to social support programs, and awareness of stigma and discrimination among TB patients. They conduct direct socialization activities at patient homes and provide entrepreneurship skills training to patient families. Additionally, they facilitate access to social programs and encourage reporting of discriminatory actions. Terjang also provides legal assistance to patients who experience discrimination. This health communication advocacy can enhance social and economic support for TB patients and their families.

It is also an audiovisual medium consisting of a collection of images that are combined to form a unified whole and have the ability to capture the reality of social and cultural life, enabling films to convey their messages effectively. Minari is a film released in 2020 and directed by Lee Isaac Chung. The film tells the story of a family of Korean immigrants trying to pursue their dreams in America. The purpose of this study is to investigate the meanings present in the film using Roland Barthes' semiotics analysis, by seeking the meanings of denotation, connotation, and myth. Additionally, this study aims to examine how the film represents the conflicts within Jacob's family. This study employs a qualitative research method using literature review as the data collection technique. The data obtained undergoes a process of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the film not only presents general meanings but also denotative, connotative, and mythic meanings within the text and images of the film. Moreover, the representation of social messages in the film offers insights into understanding communication within families, interpreting cultural differences, and promoting harmony among people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Complex health problems cannot be adequately handled by the government alone as the authority hol... more Complex health problems cannot be adequately handled by the government alone as the authority holder, but must be realized through collaborative work, involving various stakeholders (government, social communities, companies in the health sector, mass media, and the community). As health problems are complex, health communication efforts are also so complex. One of the approaches offered by health communication is behavior change communication which includes all elements from the government to the community. The purpose of this paper is to describe the framework of Social Behavior and Change communication (SBCC) theory. The theory of SBCC discusses human behavior at one of three possible levels of change: individual change, interpersonal change, and community. The strategy developed by SBCC in changing behavior consists of three strategies namely, advocacy, social mobilization and education.The author compiled this article based on a review of the literature from various journals on the topic of health communication, communication books, health communication, and health institution reports.

The Kanjuruhan tragedi that killed 129 spectators of the age of the match between Arema Malang FC... more The Kanjuruhan tragedi that killed 129 spectators of the age of the match between Arema Malang FC and Surabaya FC caused turmoil in Indonesian society. The turmoil over this deadly tragedi occurred in many places in Indonesia. In addition, no less massive movements occur in cyberspace. Where Indonesian netizens form a movement through sosial media, rallying support from many parties, with the aim of urging the government to immediately thoroughly investigate this dark incident and punish those responsible. This study aims to analyze virtual sosial movements on sosial media in response to the Kanjuruhan tragedi. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through media content analysis. The results of the study show that virtual sosial movements through sosial media have succeeded in urging the government to carry out investigations and take action against those deemed responsible for holding a football match between Arema Malang FC and Surbaya FC.

The Covid 19 pandemic has had an impact on all sectors of life, especially in the economic sector... more The Covid 19 pandemic has had an impact on all sectors of life, especially in the economic sector, from the macro to the micro age. This condition was triggered by a policy of limiting community activities. In early July 2021 the Government issued a policy of imposing restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Java and Bali because the Covid-19 outbreak had not yet subsided at that time. The policy has worsened economic conditions without exception experienced by small business actors such as street vendors (PKL) in the Simpang Dago area of Bandung City. The purpose of this research is to analyze the resilience of the Simpang Dago street vendors during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with four traders, field observations, literature reviews from similar research journals, and books. The results show that the street vendors there have good resilience. The street vendors were able to go through the stages of reliseisni namely the surrender stage, the survival stage, the recovery stage and the development stage.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi pustaka sebagai sumber utama data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam kaitannya dengan teori fitrah, budaya dan pandangan agama Islam mengenai gender, Generasi Y dan Z yang lahir di era teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, memiliki karakter yang menyerupai karakter teknologi itu sendiri, generasi ini menyukai kesederhanaan. aturan hidup, lebih terbuka dan transparan. Sementara itu, Generasi X dan generasi boomer lebih kaku dari generasi-generasi berikutnya. Dalam generasi relasi gender dalam keluarga, laki-laki masih sangat dominan dalam memainkan peran penting dalam pembagian peran strategis terutama dalam bidang pendidikan dan pekerjaan. Kesimpulannya, generasi Y dan Z tidak mengalami masalah dalam relasi gender, sedangkan Generasi X dan generasi boomer masih memiliki masalah. The information media influences public attitudes in many aspects of life, including those concer... more The information media influences public attitudes in many aspects of life, including those concerning public political attitudes. Therefore the position of the media is very strategic in mapping public political attitudes. The media carrying the message constructs the message it makes. This study aims to analyze student reviews of the media coverage of Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2004. This study was designed with a qualitative approach, reception analysis method. Data collection techniques were obtained through surveys, literature review and documentation. The results of the study show that students have various attitudes after they learn about media coverage. Students who have a dominant-hegomonic position have reasons that Anies Baswedan is the best figure currently available; students who are in a negotiated position choose the moderate path to be more careful with the reason that they will first study the political figures that will appear ahead of the upcoming 2024 Indonesian presidential election; students who took an oppositional position without hesitation immediately rejected him on the grounds that Anies Baswedan was not fit to be president of Indonesia. The conclusion, student receptions regarding Anies Baswedan's news were different from one another.

The findings indicate that the average percentage of patients who are the primary breadwinners of the family is 44.33%, patients who have lost their jobs is 82.33%, patients with loans is 38.67%, patients selling property is 55.67%, patients receiving government assistance is 68.33%, patients receiving assistance from private institutions is 21%, patients receiving assistance from family is 78%, and the median value of aid in the last three months is 21.83 USD. Aisyiyah and Terjang provide information on treatment costs, skills training, access to social support programs, and awareness of stigma and discrimination among TB patients. They conduct direct socialization activities at patient homes and provide entrepreneurship skills training to patient families. Additionally, they facilitate access to social programs and encourage reporting of discriminatory actions. Terjang also provides legal assistance to patients who experience discrimination. This health communication advocacy can enhance social and economic support for TB patients and their families.

It is also an audiovisual medium consisting of a collection of images that are combined to form a unified whole and have the ability to capture the reality of social and cultural life, enabling films to convey their messages effectively. Minari is a film released in 2020 and directed by Lee Isaac Chung. The film tells the story of a family of Korean immigrants trying to pursue their dreams in America. The purpose of this study is to investigate the meanings present in the film using Roland Barthes' semiotics analysis, by seeking the meanings of denotation, connotation, and myth. Additionally, this study aims to examine how the film represents the conflicts within Jacob's family. This study employs a qualitative research method using literature review as the data collection technique. The data obtained undergoes a process of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the film not only presents general meanings but also denotative, connotative, and mythic meanings within the text and images of the film. Moreover, the representation of social messages in the film offers insights into understanding communication within families, interpreting cultural differences, and promoting harmony among people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the framework of Social Behavior and Change communication (SBCC) theory. The theory of SBCC discusses human behavior at one of three possible levels of change: individual change, interpersonal change, and community. The strategy developed by SBCC in changing behavior consists of three strategies namely, advocacy, social mobilization and education.The author compiled this article based on a review of the literature from various journals on the topic of health communication, communication books, health communication, and health institution reports.

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that provide religious instruction based on Islamic religious beliefs and teachings. Several Islamic boarding schools offer health education to its pupils in addition to general and religious courses. Individual health communication is required, especially in current conditions such as these, where we have all survived the Covid-19 pandemic and are experiencing life with new normal conditions. The discussion method uses literature studies with decomposition, summarization, and drawing conclusions and tries to bring up new ideas that are relevant and up-to-date to be implemented in health communication patterns at Islamic boarding schools. Various studies show that the pattern of health communication carried out in Islamic boarding schools is persuasive communication that aims to influence the target person in the communication process. The health communication process that occurs aims to influence the behavior of those who are targeted in order to create the necessary conditions for improving health status as a result or consequence of the program. Information about health communication that is usually conveyed to students should be routinely carried out and practiced in the context of implementing healthy clean living in Islamic boarding schools.

The turmoil over this deadly tragedi occurred in many places in Indonesia. In addition, no less massive movements occur in cyberspace. Where Indonesian netizens form a movement through sosial media, rallying support from many parties, with the aim of urging the government to immediately thoroughly investigate this dark incident and punish those responsible. This study aims to analyze virtual sosial movements on sosial media in response to the Kanjuruhan tragedi. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through media content analysis. The results of the study show that virtual sosial movements through sosial media have succeeded in urging the government to carry out investigations and take action against those deemed responsible for holding a football match between Arema Malang FC and Surbaya FC.

This condition was triggered by a policy of limiting community activities. In early July 2021 the Government issued a policy of imposing restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Java and Bali because the Covid-19 outbreak had not yet subsided at that time. The policy has worsened economic conditions without exception experienced by small business actors such as street vendors (PKL) in the Simpang Dago area of Bandung City. The purpose of this research is to analyze the resilience of the Simpang Dago street vendors during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with four traders, field observations, literature reviews from similar research journals, and books. The results show that the street vendors there have good resilience. The street vendors were able to go through the stages of reliseisni namely the surrender stage, the survival stage, the recovery stage and the development stage.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi pustaka sebagai sumber utama data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam kaitannya dengan teori fitrah, budaya dan pandangan agama Islam mengenai gender, Generasi Y dan Z yang lahir di era teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, memiliki karakter yang menyerupai karakter teknologi itu sendiri, generasi ini menyukai kesederhanaan. aturan hidup, lebih terbuka dan transparan. Sementara itu, Generasi X dan generasi boomer lebih kaku dari generasi-generasi berikutnya. Therefore the position of the media is very strategic in mapping public political attitudes. The media carrying the message constructs the message it makes. This study aims to analyze student reviews of the media coverage of Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2004. This study was designed with a qualitative approach, reception analysis method. Data collection techniques were obtained through surveys, literature review and documentation. The results of the study show that students have various attitudes after they learn about media coverage. Students who have a dominant-hegomonic position have reasons that Anies Baswedan is the best figure currently available; students who are in a negotiated position choose the moderate path to be more careful with the reason that they will first study the political figures that will appear ahead of the upcoming 2024 Indonesian presidential election; students who took an oppositional position without hesitation immediately rejected him on the grounds that Anies Baswedan was not fit to be president of Indonesia. The conclusion, student receptions regarding Anies Baswedan's news were different from one another.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan target pesan, target sasaran, isi pesan dan referensi pesan pada akun Instagram BKKBN. Teori Stimulus, Organism dan Response (SOR) sebagai grand theory yang digunakan penelitian ini, memberikan gambaran terhadap efek (response) dari pesan (stimulus) yang merupakan pokok bahasan penelitian ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode analisis konten. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif, diketahui bahwa sebagian besar target pesan pada akun Instagram BKKBN bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi, dengan target sasaran sebagian besar ditujukan kepada masyarakat umum, dan isi pesan lebih banyak mengenai pengetahuan untuk target sasaran, sedangkan referensi pesan cenderung tanpa referensi atau berasal dari hasil kreatif tim media. Memerhatikan unsur pesan yang disampaikan melalui akun Instagram BKKBN, maka disarankan agar akun Instagram BKKBN lebih mengarahkan target sasaran kepada generasi millennial atau bahkan kepada generasi zillenial yang saat ini sebagian besar sudah memasuki usia pernikahan dan juga lebih memerhatikan sumber referensi pesan yang diunggah.

Therefore, the presence of TB survivors in the treatment process is expected to assist TB survivors during the recovery and post-recovery stages. Many approaches can be made to deal with TB, including the social and behavior change communication (SBCC) approach. This study aims to analyze the use of SBCC by TB survivors from the Terjang Foundation in treating TB in Bandung. This study adopts a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, field observations, and literature reviews. The study results show that SBCC has been implemented as follows: 1) Advocacy is carried out through meetings to seek support from the government and other stakeholders; 2) Social mobilization is carried out by involving stakeholders, including the Health Office, community elements, and TB survivors. Social mobilization is conducted through TB Day activities, seminars, and patient visits; 3) Education is carried out by explaining TB treatment to survivors and accompanying TB patients during drug administration in hospitals.

For this reason, it is very important that physical activity interventions are guided by parents. This study aims to provide an overview of how the physical activity of blind children in terms of parenting parents. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using observation and interviews. Participants used by SLB A Citeureup Cimahi students by using snowball sampling technique. The results of research on the physical activity of children with visual impairments are very concerning, let alone for sports activities, their daily physical activity is not good. The findings of this study that actually blind students from small are not cared for by biological parents, but by parents of guardians.
