The conference is a collaborative effort between the Committee for junior scholars in Military Hi... more The conference is a collaborative effort between the Committee for junior scholars in Military History of the Italian Society of Military History (SISM), various Italian Universities, and research centres. The event is aimed at PhD students and junior scholars who have completed their PhD within the past three years. It welcomes individuals from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to explore a common thread that spans different historical periods, from classical to contemporary times.
The event offers a platform to consider the historical presence of armed groups and individuals in conventional and unconventional conflicts from ancient times to the conclusion of the Cold War.
