This study has been designed to analyze the leadership style of the head teachers of secondary schools and its impact on academic achievements of students in Muzaffargarh. For this purpose, we developed a questionnaire containing 30 items and collected data from 100 head teachers and 300 common school teachers, who were selected through a convenience sampling technique. The questionnaire was developed on the basis of 5-points Likert scale to measure the attitude of head teachers and common teachers. The data was analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics that include mean, standard deviation and t-test. The results show that majority of the head teachers were opted authoritative leadership styles. However, female head teachers were more democratic as compared to male head teachers.

This study investigates the leadership styles of school principal and academic coordinator in one of the private schools in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. A qualitative case study approach was employed to generate the study data using semi-structured interviews as major data generation tool. A pre-designed interview guide was used to facilitate the interview discourses. The findings of the study showed that both, the principal and academic coordinator mostly execute democratic leadership approach to facilitate learning processes in the school, though this style becomes varied under different circumstances. This dominant leadership style was seen effective in bringing about positive learning environment within the school. The study recommends that exploration of similar comparative studies in same context may be continued to generate more in-depth understanding of the context and to devise appropriate plans in educational sector.
Analyzing the Perceived Effectiveness of Academic Leadership in Schools of Bahawalpur, Pakistan

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceived effectiveness of academic leadership in schools of Bahawalpur (Pakistan). All the teachers teaching at secondary school level of private sector constituted the population of the study. Only 100 school teachers were selected as sample through simple random sampling technique. A self-developed structured questionnaire was used as research instrument for data collection. The quantitative research methodology has been used. Statistical tools i.e., mean standard deviation and percentage were used for the analysis of the data. After analysis of the data, it was concluded that that the academic leadership in schools is not as effective as it should be as per staff perception. Supervisors do not empower their teachers. Teachers are not motivated and not involved in decision making process. Teachers are not rewarded on showing excellent performance. Furthermore, they are not engaged in building ethical ambiance in school.

This study explored school heads' perceptions regarding their school leadership styles. The study adopted a qualitative research design. The sample of the study consisted of 10 male and 10 female head teachers from Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews. Findings revealed that school heads adopted a number of leadership styles. The main leadership styles included instructional leadership, transformational leadership and moral leadership. These different leadership styles were adopted keeping in view the needs of different situations that heads found themselves working in. The study has important implications for school management, schoolteachers, researchers and policy makers.

Leadership style is a particular behavior applied by a leader to motivate subordinates to achieve the objectives of the organization. Therefore, a leader in an institution can take any type of leadership style via the circumstances on the ground to reach the effective and efficient work in an organization. Hence, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between principals' leadership styles and teacher's job performances in secondary school of Omdurman locality, Sudan. In doing so, a descriptive research was employed. A sample size of 160, (85) male, and (75) female was responded. The data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed quantitatively using SPSS. The study showed that secondary schools principals frequently practice the democratic leadership style. There is strong significant relationship between leadership styles and teachers' job performance. The researchers recommended that, principals should adopt democratic leadership style in their schools so that can lead to better performance.
Analysis of the Impact of Educational Leadership styles Towards Motivation of Teachers in Secondary schools : A Review., 2019
The purpose of this review paper was to determine the impact of Educational Leadership styles towards motivation of teachers in secondary schools, and to find out the type of leadership style that gives great motivation to teachers. The study focused only on three leadership styles which are democratic leadership style, Autocratic leadership style and Laissez-Faire leadership style. Based on the findings from the literature review in this paper, it showed that democratic leadership style has a greater impact on motivating teachers performance in secondary school, for instance Obi (2003) suggested that managers who adopt democratic leadership style are most likely to have high performance level from the subordinates.

This research investigated the influence of democratic leadership practices of elementary school administrators on the morale of educators. It was also an attempt to explore how democratic leadership style of administrators, develop high morale among elementary school educators in Pakistan. For the purpose, 22 administrators and 20 school educators in federal government educational institutes contributed to the study. Mixed methods research design was used to collect quantitative and qualitative data that helped to answer the research questions. The Leadership styles questionnaire developed by Northouse (2009) was used to collect quantitative information regarding democratic, authoritarian, and laissez-fare leadership styles of the administrators. The interview guide developed by Littleford (2007) was used to collect qualitative information of educators' morale. It helped to collect detailed information regarding the research variables. The educator's personal experiences were considered in one-on-one interview, The results indicated that out of 22 schools 16 were practicing democratic leadership style, 1 school was practicing authoritarian leadership style, 4 were practicing both democratic and authoritarian leadership style and 1 school administrator was practicing laissez-fare leadership style. Themes induced from the qualitative data, using thematic analysis approach of the educators' interview indicated that administrators' leadership styles influenced moral of the educators. These findings showed that elementary educators' morale was high due to democratic leadership style of the school administrators.

Educational leadership is a multifaceted area of study. Unquestionably, leadership is the most deliberate field within the social sciences. Still, administrators have evaded the notions of leadership concept like a haunting tune. This study has focused particularly on the significance of varied leadership styles in teaching to sustain academic excellence at the secondary school level. The Analysis of Teacher Leadership Styles According to Teachers’ Perceptions in Primary Schools

The study was carried out to identify the leadership styles of primary school teachers based on M cGregor's X-Y Theory. The teachers' leadership styles were also investigated in relation to their tenure of office, socioeconomic environment and their teaching branch. The study group was composed of 215 primary school teachers, 153 of them were female and 62 of them were male. Teacher Leadership Styles Scale developed by Deniz and Hasançebioğlu (2002) was used to measure the leadership styles of teachers. The major results of the study are as follows: (1) teachers are found to be 2 5 T autocratic and repressive during teaching time2 5 T , (2) teachers belong to high socioeconomic school environment represent more democratic and participatory behaviors (3) teachers who have 1-10 years tenure of office represent more authoritative and traditional style of leadership .
