Due to COVID-19 the Indonesian Government issued a policy for Indonesian students to carry out learning activities from home. Teenagers are one of the main victims of the effects of the quarantine strategy, so they are vulnerable to various mental health problems. This study aimed to find out the relationship between the factors in stress levels in adolescents in the Public Health Center. This cross-sectional study was conducted in Juny 2021 until August 2021 at Public Health Center and involves 170 respondents. The Novel Coronavirus 2019 has struck the whole world unexpectedly, claiming millions of lives and has affected society economically and mentally. With the use of the Correlational research method, this study aims to identify if the on-going CoViD-19 has affected the anxiety of individuals, most especially the youth. It has been found that females, age ranging from 18-20 years old, and unemployed have experienced anxiety amidst of CoViD-19. Adolescent Psychological Pressure Trends in the Pandemic Covid 19

During the Covid 19 pandemic, there were some drastic changes. Social and educational change. This study aims to identify the psychological condition of adolescents. The instrument used was the DASS (Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale). The population in this study were adolescents aged 12 to 21 years from secondary school to undergraduate levels. The sampling technique used in this study was stratified sampling. Data is analyzed using descriptive statistics The results of data analysis showed that of all respondents, the worst psychological condition was sensitivity. As many as 63.2 percent of respondents experienced disorders ranging from mild, moderate, severe to very severe. Meanwhile, the psychological conditions of stress and depression were in the category that was not worrying, namely 35.1 percent of respondents who experienced depression and stress which ranged from mild, moderate, severe and very severe categories. A qualitative study to assess the Level of anxiety associated with COVID-19 among high school students

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on school children especially in their academic performance which may affect their mental health. The study aimed to assess the anxiety level of high school students. A cross sectional electronic study conducted among high school students in Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state of India. A total of 302 high school students participated in the study. A two sectioned self-structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 16.0 version software. A chi-square test was used to investigate the level of anxiety among students and ANOVA test used to find the mean difference between groups, with significance set to P<0.05. Among 302 participants, 41.7% (n=126) were male, 58.3% (n=176) were aged 13-17 years. The study indicated that majority 132 (43.7%) of study participants reported that they had Mild anxiety which was followed by 77 (25.5%) no anxiety and 62 (20.5%) moderate anxiety. Factors such as age, gender, family members tested positive or being quarantined were having association with anxiety level. The researcher concluded that the high school children are experiencing a considerable level of anxiety during lock down of COVID-19 pandemic period. There was a strong association of anxiety level of students, if any family members are tested positive for corona virus or any one is being quarantined for the symptoms of corona virus.

Factors associated with anxiety and depressive symptoms among Indonesian adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic: a cross-sectional study

Despite the conclusion of the pandemic, addressing mental health concerns during disasters remains crucial. Examining the impact of mental health issues in such contexts yields valuable insights for preventing future crises. This study aimed to examine the factors linked to anxiety and depression symptoms among Indonesian adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a cross-sectional study. The study utilized an online survey collected from 738 participants from 34 provinces in Indonesia. The participants were asked to provide information on their demographics, social media exposure, self-rated health, GAD-7 scores, and the WHO-5 well-being index. The associations between participant characteristics and depression and anxiety were investigated using independent t-tests, ANOVA tests, and ordinal logistic regression. The majority of the participants were late adolescents, aged 18-21 years old (95%), and female (79.1%). Factors such as gender, self-rated health, and social media exposure were significantly associated with depression and anxiety among adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Male adolescents had a higher risk of depression (OR=0.657, 95% CI=0.476-0.908), while infrequent social media exposure was linked to lower anxiety levels (OR=0.401, 95% CI=0.190-0.847). The study revealed that younger age, female sex, suspected COVID-19 infection, and excessive social media exposure were associated with higher levels of depression and anxiety. To manage depression and anxiety during and after pandemics, it is crucial to provide valid and reliable information and healthcare services, foster social connections, and create supportive environments in households and workplaces.

An Online Survey: Assessing Anxiety Level among General Population during the Coronavirus Disease-19 Pandemic in Indonesia

Stress and anxiety among late adulthood in Indonesia during COVID-19 outbreak

This study analyzes the condition of stress and anxiety in late adulthood in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic based on demographics. The research used quantitative methods with an online survey by survey monkey program involved 669 respondents based on twelve ethnicities in Indonesia. The data of this research analysis by the Rasch analysis model. The results showed generally experienced stress and anxiety in the moderate category although some respondents also experienced stress and anxiety in mild and severe categories, and only a small proportion was in the normal category. The need for continued treatment requires counselors, psychologists, and other relevant therapists.

A description and factors causing student anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic in indonesia

This study aims to determine the level and factors that cause student anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic. Respondents in this study were 1.013 students from five universities in three provinces in Indonesia, i.e., Lampung, Special Region of Yogyakarta, and South Sulawesi. The data were collected from 24th to 29th of April 2020. The data were obtained using a Covid-19 anxiety survey and a questionnaire about the factors causing student anxiety, which were distributed by utilizing google form. The results indicated that there were 222 students at a high and very high anxiety level with physical, cognitive, and emotional symptoms. Student anxiety was triggered by two main factors, i.e., social limitation and coursework. To reduce their anxiety, the majority of respondents chose a religious approach rather than a cultural approach. Recommendations are given to counselors to include religiosity values in helping student anxiety. The university is also expected to be able to support students by providing internet quota assistance, organizing online lectures on an asynchronous model and allowing longer deadline for submission of coursework.
