Today, the demand for horticultural commodities is relatively high, making these commodities more important in the growing Indonesian economy. One of the horticultural commodities is the potato (Solanum tuberosum). Potatoes are widely used as ingredients in the light meal industry such as potato chips. Restaurants and fast food industry also use potatoes as the ingredients. Wonosobo regency is one of the areas in Java producing a lot of potatoes and the majority of the population work as farmers. The purpose of this research is to find out the network design of potato supply chain in Wonosobo regency in order to design a more effective and efficient one. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method and the processes of collecting data are observation, interview, and documentation. The growing interest in Agricultural Supply Chain Management (ASCM) can be attributed to two main factors: agricultural industrialization and the uncertainty brought on by differences in product quality and safety. Assessing the Performance of Potato Supply Chain in Fars Province in Iran

In transforming from traditional to modern agriculture, the management of supply chain of agricultural products has gained a growing importance. Potato is one of the important vegetable crops in Fars province in Iran. Specific characteristics like continues demand, special conditions for maintenance and storage discriminate it from other products. That results in a gap between supply and demand, price fluctuations and therefore shortage in market. Therefore, assessing the performance of potato supply chain is so important. This paper, applied a SWOT analysis to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the supply chain and the opportunities and threats of the supply chain environment. Finally, we discussed the various components of supply chain and present some recommendation to improve supply chain performance in areas like mechanization, processing, production, distribution, insurance facilities and cooperative production.

The government's alignment has not been optimally in encouraging the development of domestic processed potato seed industry. Thus, processed potato seeds have to be imported from overseas annually. The method used to support this study is by analyzing the statistical imported industrial processed potatoes, references related the issue of domestic industrial potato supply chain, and interviews processed potato players. The supply chain for continuous production of processed potato seeds (GO, G1, and G2) requires major investment such as development of certified processed potato seeds, tissue culture laboratory, smart glasshouse, dedicated cold storage, cold chain logistic facilities, and smart field potato productions. In addition, strengthens partnerships with Farmer's Groups and Small Medium Enterprises (SME's) for potato productions could be fulfilled domestically, thus the dependence on imported processed potatoes can be reduced gradually. To ensure that the supply chain of the processed potato industry could develop, intervention of the government and local governments are required. Regulatory umbrellas are necessary for the development of processed potato seed industry as well as local government regulations that must favor to the domestic processed potato seed industry and investment.

Supply chain management of Potato in India
Supply chain management aims at to link the producer and consumer, which includes traditional marketing channels. The present paper is intended to make aware about the model of supply chain management. This article helps in knowing concept of contract farming and relationship between processing firm and farmers in the villages around the plant. Study concludes that contract farming helpful to small farmers in the tuff times of product sale at the bulk production period. But on the other hand contract faming provides a more reliable, regular and timely sources of income to farmers. Broadly speaking, it suggested that for the successful implementation of contract farming there should be appropriate coordination between the farmers and buyers both acting in organized manner and advisable for both sides.

This study is based on the need to make pumpkin as an alternative in food diversification through the role of business people. The initial strategy was to approach mapping the actors in the pumpkin agriculture sector from upstream to downstream. The aim of this research was to map the supply chain management of pumpkin in pumpkin production centers in East Java. This research used qualitative methods and participatory approaches. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, observation, and study of documents and data. The results showed that the management of pumpkin supply chain in East Java had a structure, mechanism, and institutional pattern. ABSTRACT: Azamgarh is situated in Uttar Pradesh. The total population of Azamgarh is 110,983 out of which 57,878 are males and 53,105 are femalesas per 2011 census. Evaluation of marketing supply chain performance of fresh vegetables in Allahabad district, India
The present study was carried out in Allahabad district, Uttar Pradesh, India during November, 2011 to March, 2012 to evaluate the existing marketing supply chains of fresh tomato, cabbage and cauliflower (SC 1 : Producer – Consumer; SC 2 : Producer-Retailer – Consumer; SC 3 : Producer-Commission agent-Retailer – Consumer and SC 4 : Producer-Commission agent-Wholesaler-Retailer-Consumer). The marketing supply chains had significant effect on net marketing price of producer, ne profit of producer, total marketing cost, total marketing loss, total net marketing margin, marketing efficiency, producer share in consumer price and consumer purchase price of fresh tomato, cabbage and cauliflower. The gross marketing price, net marketing price and net profit of producer for fresh tomato, cabbage and cauliflower were significantly higher in marketing supply chain SC 1 , followed by SC 2 , SC 3 and SC 4. The marketing cost, marketing loss, marketing margin and consumer purchase price for tomato, cabbage and cauliflower were significantly higher in marketing supply chain SC 4 , followed by SC 3 , SC 2 and SC 1. The standardized beta coefficient revealed that commission charges for marketing of tomato, cabbage and cauliflower was the most important factor, which influenced the marketing cost, followed by transportation, rent, electricity and labour, packaging and loading and unloading expenses. Marketing efficiency and producer share in consumer price for tomato, cabbage and cauliflower were significantly higher in marketing supply chains SC 1 , followed by SC 2 , SC 3 , and SC 4. The results revealed that the net profit of the producer, marketing efficiency and producer share in consumer price decreased significantly; whereas marketing cost, marketing loss and consumer purchase price increased significantly with the increase in number of intermediaries in marketing supply chains. In order to provide higher net profit to producer and competitive price to consumer for tomato, cabbage and cauliflower, it is important to introduce single window marketing system as well as provide better facilities for storage, transportation and marketing of tomato, cabbage and cauliflower.
