Art and design is everywhere around us. It is said that the design and fashion is in love with art. Fashion is an art form, a decorative or applied art because some amount of artistic expression goes into clothing. Fashion is fascinating and captivating; from clothing design to catwalk show, the word of fashion is falling over itself to involve important names from a diverse range of the visual arts. Through this study and the two creations realized, it is highlighted the fact that the purpose of the fashion design is not only to follow fashion and aesthetic, but also to develop a multidisciplinary comprehensive design art.
Aesthetical and Emotional Effects of Material on Clothing Design

The purpose of this research is to analyze the aesthetical and emotional effects of the materials with similar sensory properties and the clothing with the same clothing type and model which were made of such materials, among the consumers. The material of the research are four different clothing fabrics (artificial leather, chiffon, denim, and combed cotton). Half-circle skirt model was produced from each fabric in accordance with sizes of ½ scale dress form. The data of research were collected with aesthetic effect measurement tool, emotional response measurement tool and interview forms in two stages. In the first stage, consumer attitudes towards to the fabrics are examined. In the second stage, consumer attitudes towards to relationship between the fabric and the model in the second stage are examined. According to research results, artificial leather and half-circle skirt had the highest level with regard to both aesthetics and emotional effects whereas combed cotton fabric and half-circle skirt had the lowest level. One of the important results of the research is that the levels of aesthetic and emotional effects which come up during the two-dimensional evaluation of the fabrics change when the fabrics turned into a model. Another significant result of the research was that the expressions of the participants were usually based on the personal experiences and the structural features of the fabrics during the evaluations of the fabrics and the models.

For the clothing-based industry, conventional elements' presence in a design increases its demand and acceptance. Nowadays technology plays a vital role in the development of fashion, but it's never the replacement of traditional elements applied to modern fashion design. The author has at first studied the Khadi fabric, Bangladesh from the perspective of its distinctive regional background and social-cultural milieu. Besides the traditional technique, conventional fabric using in the dress design will enhance its morality and aesthetic appearance. The purpose of this study is to explore the traditional Kantha embroidery which will be revitalized through a design process in order to archive its characteristics, heritage, and practice. The results of this study signify a design process from traditional art to modern dress design process through analyzing of mind mapping, mood board, color board, style board, accessories board, fabric swatch, and the final sketch. The outcome of this research will show the transformation of traditional Kanta embroidery which will be adopted by Khadi fabric in order to generate a new trend of the design process in Bangladesh. The author also finalizes the design by ornamenting the surface ornamentations. Finally, the outcome of this study will impact the new upcoming fashion industry and also in the garment industries.

Good design should engage personality and emotion. Using appropriate psychological approaches to the measurement of both personality and emotion offers a humanitarian approach to design. From a design perspective this project explores the preliminary development of the traditional design process or formula, using psychological methods to inform the process. Investigating the Place of Patchwork in Fashion

One type of handicrafts in Iran is the beautiful art of 40-piece embroidery. Forty pieces are a part of popular art and a language that expresses the culture and customs of every nation, and in the first step, they should be examined based on local and climatic components. But it is worth mentioning that these works, in addition to having local characteristics, also have a valuable place in contemporary art and are an inspiration for the creation of works of art for the artists of today's modern world. In forty-piece embroidery, colorful pieces of fabric in different sizes are sewn together, and it is known as forty-piece embroidery because of the juxtaposition of many pieces of fabric. The use of 40-piece embroidery in many items such as quilts, bedspreads, cushions, and today, with its entry into the world of fashion, has created a new evolution. Also, the works that are still sewn and used without any special patterns and methods, unaware that these works can be very valuable for our cultural and anthropological studies, but few people are aware of them. In this article, the art of patchwork and its application in clothing and fashion design have been discussed, and examples of the designs of famous designers in the world have been discussed.
UTILIZATION OF AESTHETICS VALUE OF TALLY WOVEN FABRIC STRUCTURES IN FASHION TRENDS
The present research depends on studying the characteristics of tally woven fabric structures in Egyptian folklore of arts in some governorates from the delta to upper in Egypt. [1] Each governorate has own characteristics, which reflect on clothes. Within the wrapping of tally woven fabric structures in Egyptian folklore of arts; in the color of the metal or yarns, tally woven fabric structures of folklore arts represent the challenge for designers to create women's fashion designs which emphasis on Egyptian identity [3].The present research aims to create collections for women which are inspired from the characteristics of Egyptian tally woven fabric structures in fashion trends; in outlines and decorated with the tally. The research shows that the historical study is useful to create fashion designs, which combines originality and contemporary. the characteristics of tally woven fabric structures in folklore of arts is a perfect way to create fashion designs for women, The results revealed that the designs achieved the highest evaluation level were designs of compatibility with the customs and traditions, keeps up with fashion trends, emphasizes the character of Egyptian woman and her feminine look, succeeded in combine silhouettes of tally woven fabric str uctures in fashion trends to added aesthetic values to the clothes design.
EMOTIONAL DESIGN OF FASHION: DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF NEW TOOL FOR NON-INTERFERING RESEARCH
The emotions participate of ours daily life in the products and services of design and intensely in fashion. All our decisions show that emotions are present and command our actions, mainly with regard to clothes. When we observe a shop window and positive emotions are generated in our unconscious, we feel necessity and pleasure to acquire the product displayed. However, not always we take conscience of these feelings, and difficultly we can to verbalize the affection and reasons of determined choices. Questioning the consumer about their emotions through inquiries becomes complex and cannot generate real or consistent data. Considering this aspect in the context of research on emotional design involving fashion and shop window, we know that to understand the emotional responses of consumers we would need a non-verbal research tool (without inquiries). Therefore, and also as part of the doctoral thesis of the first author of this article, was created a new tool for non-verbal and multidisciplinary research with simple language, in order to benefit various researchers, at different levels of research. This article is centred in the creation of the platform, its development and its application in the scope of the Emotional Design and phenomena itself associates, as the fashion.
This study is part of the surveys conducted in the doctoral research about the methodological tools of fashion design, which focuses in the techniques and methods for the elaboration of visual support of the semantic aspects of clothing products in the educational context. In assessing the design process in this field, it was analyzed the interaction system between the fashion clothing product and its users. An exploratory research was conducted, including literature review and documentary analysis, through which we identified the main requirements of interaction between product and user. The criteria identified as essential for examining the body-artifact-environmental system are distributed in projective parameters of physical adaptation, expression and representation. For these reasons, this article aims to relate concepts drawn from theories of human factors, hedonomics, communication and emotional design, to demonstrate then that fashion clothing is a dynamic and interactive space that mediates the relationship with the environment. Therefore, this text addresses clothing as an amplified interactive space, envisioning exchanges that perform with the body, the surrounding space (physical and cultural) and time. By associating the literature and the documentary analysis of academic practices, it was possible to highlight the key indicators to understand the attributes that guide the development of wearable interfaces. Among these attributes, the communicative potential receives greater emphasis, as these artifacts are converted into individual vehicles of expression and collective identification, becoming instruments of symbolic constructions and mobile records of the space-time relations incorporated in the material culture. The results reinforces the hypothesis of a methodological approach to fashion design in which the visual thinking and systemic reasoning is valued, in order to integrate the socio-cultural codes to the usability requirements of the products, allowing the aesthetic-symbolic factors to create identification links and build the affective experience.
Cultural Work Instruments in Fashion Technology - Practical Method of Generating Emotional Design

Clothing fashion technologies, from yarn to clothing, are some of the oldest cultural technologies of humanity, integrated into both the public and domestic space of life [1]. The artistic and cultural imaginary, predominantly feminine, has found an ideal place of expression, because the tradition of social and cultural praxis has a millenary individuality and continuity [2]. In the 21st century, in a context of globalization of economies and technologies, cultural technologies strike a discordant note because they work based on cultural icons, and specific societal imaginary [3]. In this field, Technical engineering, informatic (logic-mathematical) and cultural (cognitive-emotional) languages need to find a common denominator to respond to the complexity of consumers’ demands for modern products. Interdisciplinary approaches should not remain only at academic or technological level, transdisciplinary may be a holistic key to the success of some disciplines, in the context in which co-creation and collaborative design are nowadays common in leadership and user-oriented creation. Emotional design and art science have become increasingly attractive research directions in many interdisciplinary art programs that rely on the many novelties of science and technology, as well as the research of metaphor or visual semiotics. This is the academic world, but the reality of creative and cultural industries is much closer to crafts and a digital world that is used only as commercial support or product development. The article presents the laboratory verification, together with students, of a method of generating the emotional, practical design of product creation by using a mix of cultural instruments, a method substantiated by the main author of this article. The purpose of this practical method is to make creative individuals aware of the importance of cultural work instruments in fashion technologies.
Innovative Textile Desiging for Ladies Apparels from Architectural Motifs of Sethi House

This study describes the uniqueness of traditional architectural motifs of the Sethi house situated in city of Khyber Pukhtun Khawa, Pakistan with respect to the revival of these motifs by digital printing on ladies apparel. Textile designs from historical motifs have initiated to be used frequently in various textiles industries. Goods designed in today's fashion world play a significant role in the conservation of historical and cultural ideas. The combination of contemporary styles with timeworn designs and motifs safeguards the existence of these motifs for looming products. The Sethi house comprise of superb architectural elements like engraved woodwork, ainah kari, and jaili work etc. Sethi house interior is planned with so simple, yet complex pure Islamic architecture motifs that one could look at these features for hours.Designs from the ceiling of the rooms comprising unique jaliwork, naqqashi and courtyard decorating elements were selected for transformation in to textile designs through Adobe photo shop software. Various types of fabric specimens were digitally printed, stitched in to female costumes and exhibited for the students and numerous personnel belonging to fashion designing field. The data was collected through questionnaires by ranking the textile designs subjectively and statistically analysed regarding transformation of motifs, form, novelty, symbolism, aesthetics, texture, different color schemes, and commercial acceptability in the market. This work will help those designers who are striving to recover their own traditional details with the modern-day fashion movements. Architectural motifs of Sethi House can be a source of inspiration for current fashion designers to boost their culture in domestic as well as global market.
