This study reviews and evaluates the PROC IRT procedure in the SAS/STAT 14.1 software that provides item response theory analysis to unidimensional and multidimensional data that is dichotomous, polytomous, or some mixture of item-types. A brief summary of the features, documentation, and availability are provided. A simulation study was used to evaluate the efficiency and accuracy of the procedure.

Network marketing has gained popularity in the recent years as a result of increased communication through new social media technologies. Alongside products endorsed, Network Marketing Organizations (NMO) introduced compensation plans that boosts the dedication of recruited individuals which includes unilevel, matrix and the now becoming popular, the binary plan. Alongside its recent fame, binary plan has been a subject of legitimacy issues, and certain studies are being done to prove its uniqueness from the illegal pyramiding. This study is aimed at analyzing the binary network structure in terms of its growth topology and profitability by modeling the network using probability distributions such as the uniform distribution. By predicting the growth of a certain network, companies and independent distributors will be able to organize their strategies in order to attain maximum profit and longer network life.

Multiple comparisons and multiple testing problems arise frequently in statistical data analysis, and it is important to address them appropriately. Closed testing methods are among the most powerful multiple inference methods available, and are therefore gaining rapidly in popularity. The
purpose of this article is to explain what a closed testing procedure is, why such methods are desirable, and explicitly identify situations for which the MULTTEST procedure provides a closed testing procedure.
