This article explores the possibility of conceiving South America and Southern Africa as subsystemic unipolarities under Brazilian and South African primacy, respectively. It argues that this concept, when applied to these regions, sheds light not only on the long-term strategies behind the Brazilian and South African foreign policies towards their neighbourhood, but also on the behaviour of secondary regional powers and small states. This hypothesis questions the maxim that considerations related to polarity affect great powers only. After examining the Brazilian and South African cases, the author undertakes a comparative analysis of 17 countries in these regions, showing that the behaviour of politically stable countries is as predicted by theories of unipolarity.

An outline and results of decades of research into the claims of excess energy produced from specific devices based on the anomalous unipolar generator. The anomalies are described in an "American Journal of Physics" article from 1955. The research has pointed the way to major breakthroughs in the equating of electromagnetic potentials to mechanical energy. The results show efficiency potentials of orders magnitude higher when utilizing specific inductive geometries.

The quality of the transmission signal should be very good for active sonar applications like detection, tracking, communication, fish location, acoustic oceanography etc. One of the best ways to achieve it is by using a PWM signal. This paper presents various schemes for generating PWM signals for active sonar applications. There are two types of PWM signals and they can be generated using microcontroller, hardware and software schemes. The analysis of types and generation of PWM is also described. The analysis is done using Xilinx and Matlab.

Since the subprime crisis erupted in the US economy in recent years, the debate about where global power goes, were hearty. Will America preserve the unipolar or we are at the beginning of a period in which power should resign? Will the BRICS with China as the leader be those who succeed to establish a new center of power that confront that established by the US? This paper seeks to answer these questions. The BRICS have seen an evolution unprecedented in several aspects that has changed its influence on the world stage in recent years, to the point that block the formation occurred following the intent of these countries, led by China to exploit this greater weight on the world stage to influence the overall driving in different areas. It shows the current geopolitical rebalancing of forces, once passed the period when neoliberal policies underpinned by the Washington Consensus prevailed during the 90s and that led to severe crises in emerging economies. The findings of the study show that is still remote the possibility of BRICS installing a new power center that dispute the hegemony of the US, since although the block has seen development in different fronts, including the economy still shows relatively weak in others such as the military. In addition to this, problems indoors observed in these countries appear as other strong element which supports this conclusion. However, progress can be seen in the establishment of South-South relations similar to those observed in north-south relations established characteristics. It can be expected that, in the event of the establishment of a new center of power, it replicates the practices of domination over the periphery, which can be seen in the current scenario.
