Gender differences are often seen as either biologically determined or culturally acquired or conditioned. However, in an age where gender equality is the main target, neither peer reviewers nor students show much interest in gender differences. Moreover, not only do people try to integrate their 'ying' and 'yang' in their personalities also transgender identities are publicly acknowledged, appreciated and respected. Thus, in this chapter, I argue that we need to downgrade gender differences to a statistical variable that explains variance, sharpens statistical effects and reveals strategies. I am giving examples from my developmental psychology research where the split-sample analysis by gender showed amazing and often unexpected effects.

Cognitive linguistics, neuro-cognitive and psychological analysis of human verbal cognition present important area of multidisciplinary research. Mathematical methods and models have been introduced in number of publications with increasing attention to these theories. In this paper we have described some possible applications of mathematical methods to cognitive linguistics. Human verbal perception and verbal mapping deal with dissipative mental structures and symmetric/asymmetric relationships between objects of perception and deep (also surface) structures of language. In that’s way methods of tensor analysis are ambitious candidate to be applied to analysis of human verbal thinking and mental space.

The topic of verbal cognition is widely discussed in Sanskrit philosophical literature.
Ancient Indian theorists primarily expounded the verbal cognition in terms of spoken
language cognition. Hence, language has always been the subject of Ṣrāvaṇa jñāna
(i.e. knowledge that derives from something that is being heard). Even though spoken
language has the prominence when it comes to the human communication, language is
necessarily entitled with two features: sounds and the script. Recent advancements in
the fields of psycholinguistics and cognitive science enable us to measure not only the
spoken but also written language comprehension in the human beings. We, in this paper,
try to answer the question whether the term ‘Cākṣuśa’ can also qualify verbal cognition.
We explore various facets of the cognition of the language by the means of the eyes. We
present an introduction to the Eye-tracking technique in which readers’ eye-movements
across the text are recorded and analyzed to examine the cognitive exercises performed
by them during reading any document. We present key features of visual verbal-cognition
along with its applicability in other fields.
