It takes a special way with tonality to make a movie about abhorrent characters charming and surprisingly funny. Trying to make her mark on the teen stoner subgenre, writer/director Augustine Frizzle makes her feature-length debut with �Never Goin� Back,� which remains a very crude comedy but maintains a lot of positive attributes in the midst of drug, defecation, and vomit humor. It�s slack but engaging, finding Frizzle throwing a screen party with her cast, who rise to the occasion, delivering heroically fresh performances while they periodically march through formulaic mischief. ...read more...
