Thor represents a fairly substantial gamble for the powers that be at Marvel. This is the first superhero movie to actively engage with the "magical" side of the Marvel universe. It's also one of the final building blocks for the Avengers mega-movie (slated to bombard cinemas next summer). But is Thor a super superhero movie or is it slightly less than enchanted? The movie starts off on this terrestrial plane, where a trio of scientists (Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings as a pair of grad students, Stellan Skarsgard as their mentor) are studying weather patterns... or particle physics� or ...read more...
