Synopsis
Four families are thinking of buying an apartment in a newly built building. Margarita (Concha Velasco), a young and modern woman who wants to marry Ernesto (Pedro Osinaga), puts many obstacles for the wedding, the main one being the type of life of artistic painter of his girlfriend. Doña Antonia (Rafaela Aparicio) and Doña Loreto (Florinda Chico), aunt and niece, who run a boarding house that serves as a brothel, and now want to move to hide their dubious way of life before the arrival of Doña Loreto's daughter to study at the university. The marriage of Ana (Laly Soldevila) and Federico (Antonio Ozores), a family man who lives with his mother-in-law and aspires to a better life with a promotion in his office. And the mature couple of Emilia (Maruja Asquerino) and Lorenzo (José Luis López Vázquez), a widowed couple in love who are ready for a new life together despite the opposition of their respective older children.
