🌟 Big News for Telehealth & Hospital-at-Home Programs! 🌟 A key bill just took a major step forward in Congress! On September 18th, the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce unanimously passed the Telehealth Modernization Act of 2024, which could transform how healthcare is delivered to millions. This bill would: - Extend the hospital-at-home waiver for 5 more years, allowing Medicare recipients to continue to receive acute care at home. - Continue telehealth flexibilities for another 2 years, making healthcare more accessible for seniors, people with mobility challenges, and those in rural areas. These extensions are vital as many hospitals and patients have come to rely on the program since its launch in 2020. Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) put it well: "This is life-saving healthcare for Medicare beneficiaries who need it most."
