Each day Make-A-Wish® New Jersey creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses in the Garden State. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve. Wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give children with critical illnesses a higher chance of survival. And wishes not only help these children – they also have far-reaching, positive impacts on their families and communities.

Now that’s a Wish Kid Road Trip! For his wish, William wanted to go to California with his family! How did they see the state? They drove along the coast of the famous Route 1 Highway, taking in the sights from LA to San Francisco.
Hospitals can be an unsure place for a young child battling a critical illness. Today we are featuring one of our brave wish kids. His name is Jacob. Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Jacob spent long periods of chemotherapy and weeks in the hospital. While there, he first heard about Make-A-Wish and the incredible possibilities that were in front of him. When Jacob thought about those possibilities, he thought HAWAII!…AND…that’s exactly where he and his family went on his wish, where they report he started every day with a big smile. Shout out to Jacob who today, has been in remission for 13 months! We are all smiling right back at you!
Maya is cheerful and humorous and thrives on knowledge and new adventures. It’s no surprise with her vivid personality that she declared for her wish that she wanted to attend the magical performance of Aladdin on Broadway! AND for her Magic Carpet...she requested a vibrant pink limousine to take her through the bustling streets of Times Square and NYC!
Our wish kids have a lot of incredible interests! Take Cameron for example. Cameron is a big foodie and a gamer. When Cameron was thinking of his wish, he came up with the perfect place to go! San Francisco! He knew it was a location where he could sample cuisine at a ton of different restaurants and visit incredible landmarks like Alcatraz and Muir Woods.
As Fall begins, Make-A-Wish New Jersey continues to spread hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses. With the support of generous donors and volunteers, we can grant life-changing wishes to bring smiles to these brave children's faces.
