When battling larger, faster-burning, and more frequent wildfires that are our reality, time matters to the second, precision matters to the foot, and volume of water matters to the gallon. Monday, we bolstered our wildfire firefighting arsenal with a dedicated helicopter water source, strategically located in Aliso Viejo. The result of the collaboration and support of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, the Aliso Viejo Community Association, the Moulton Niguel Water District, and the OCFA Board of Directors, this HeloPod is an example of what can happen when we work together for our communities, for the people we are sworn to serve, and the firefighters on the front lines.
