About us

Founded in 2021, BHC is a Charleston, SC-based luxury urban resort destination whose sole purpose is to create meaningful ways for people to connect and share extraordinary experiences. With a focus on generational ownership and longstanding partnerships, BHC is building a portfolio of interconnected hospitality and entertainment experiences designed to stimulate the senses and enrich lives. The collection originated with the acquisition of BHC’s flagship property The Charleston Place, a landmark in the heart of historic downtown Charleston, and has continued to grow with the development of The Cooper, downtown Charleston’s only luxury waterfront hotel, opening in 2025; Sorelle, a multi-level Italian restaurant concept; The Riviera Theater, a revitalized iconic entertainment venue; and Credit One Stadium, a world-class venue for sports and entertainment.

These recognitions underscore the dedication and passion our teams put into creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. In the “Dish Dining Guide: Top 50,” both Sorelle and Charleston Grill were highlighted as top dining destinations, reaffirming their status as must-visit spots in Charleston's vibrant culinary scene. Charleston Grill continues to shine with its balanced, ingredient-centric creations under the guidance of Chef de Cuisine Suzy Castelloe, while Sorelle has captured the hearts of diners with its innovative Southern Italian menu by Executive Chef Nick Dugan. Both restaurants were also featured in the piece “Craving Caviar? The Raw Delicacy is as Popular as Ever at Local Restaurants.” Sorelle’s exclusive caviar service, sourced from the esteemed Petrossian, and offerings like the Tajarin Al Caviale have delighted guests in the bar and lounge. October was quite the month! Lukus Grace, Rebecca Hubbard and I traveled to Toronto, Atlanta, and New York City on behalf of Beemok Hospitality Collection (BHC) to spread the news of The Charleston Place reimagination and The Cooper Hotel opening to 40+ media contacts in these top feeder markets. It was a whirlwind, especially 6 months pregnant, but it brought me back to my agency days. We are so thrilled with all of the new connections we made, but for me, the most special part was getting to see industry friends I hadn’t seen since before the pandemic (looking at you Nikki Ekstein, Giannina Bedford, Allison Entrekin and Peter Schlesinger, among many others)! Hospitality at its core is how you make people feel, and I am so fortunate to work for a company who makes me feel fulfilled and inspired every day. I cannot wait to share more information on these projects in the coming months!
