Jude Bellingham and his doting mum reacted very differently as they viewed his lavish £5.5million home in Madrid.

The Real Madrid and England superstar, 21, has released the first episode of the YouTube series called ‘Out of the Floodlights’, which goes behind the scenes of his life. Called ‘Casa Blanca’, the episode begins with his finals days at Borussia Dortmund as they agonisingly missed out on the Bundesliga title to Bayern Munich on the final day of the season, and then his big-money move to Madrid.

After his glitzy unveiling in the famous white kit at the Bernabeu, Bellingham is filmed going house-hunting, checking out the property which he now calls home with his mum Denise, dad Mark and brother Jobe, who plays for Sunderland, in tow.

As they enter the house in Madrid’s exclusive La Finca district, Denise makes reference to the searing Spanish summer heat, saying: “It’s extremely hot, he’s going to be sweltering.”

Meanwhile, Jude is trying the property’s lift which, to his surprise, is rather slow. “I thought it would go ‘zoom’,” he jokes. He then explores the outdoor area at the back of the mansion. After spotting a fire pit, he begins making plans, saying: “Get a table there, some cards.”

Clearly a fan of the property, he agonises: “I don’t want to go in too early then see something better, but I don’t want to walk away and see ‘sold’. It is nice, really nice.”

The England star's lavish property is said to boast state-of-the-art amenities including a gym, home theatre, gourmet kitchen, private pool, and breathtaking views of Lafinka Golf Club and mountain range. His former Real Madrid team-mate Toni Kroos and football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo are also believed to be his neighbours with properties nearby.

Denise relocated to Madrid to help her son handle his schedule and his affairs. She shares the 7,000-square-foot, six-bedroom home with Jude and proudly plays mum, cooking him meals and driving him to training.

During one clip Jobe joked that Jude was 'useless' and that if he learned how to cook his mum could remain at home. Instead, it is the Real Madrid star's father, Mark, 48, who has stayed at home to be close to Jobe. The episode also focuses on the younger sibling's move to Sunderland, where the family are again present for his unveiling

Reflecting on his rise from hometown club Birmingham City, Jude says: “Three years from Birmingham to Madrid isn’t bad.”

Explaining his reasoning for producing an inside look at his life, Jude explains: “If it helps people to get to know me better, that’s great. If people are still unhappy then… [shrugs shoulders].”

Future episodes will focus on his stunning first season with Real, which saw him win both the La Liga title and the Champions League, beating former club Dortmund in the final at Wembley. Bellingham missed England's recent Nations League double-header against Ireland and Finland due to a calf injury.
