This is an online somatic skills and mindfulness support group for neurodivergent women. In the six week series we learn about the window of tolerance, practice listening to and respecting our individual needs, develop body-based skills, and meet with other Wanderlust Warriors for social connection and a greater sense of community. We use skills from Polyvagal Theory which focus on engaging the vagus nerve (in our calming nervous system), to promote feelings of safety and connection. We meet weekly and practice a new skill each week that includes a step-by-step handout for practicing skills between groups.

Outpatient trauma treatment can sometimes miss the key educational pieces clients get at a more intensive level of care - including the crucial parts perspective. I will draw on my knowledge of IFS, trauma-informed, DBT, etc. to fill in those gaps. Each session will begin with an educational presentation and then provide time to process and integrate what was just presented on a personal level. This informative psycho-ed/support group is a closed group for women (LBGTQ+ inclusive!) and will meet 6 times. $360 total. OON receipts provided. Starting late January/early February '24!

DBT stands for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. DBT is a structured treatment approach that uses 4 main components which are distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is rooted in finding the balance between acceptance and change. We can accept and validate our feelings with the goal of changing how we react, process, and behave. Each week, the group will speak about one of the four components and learn skills on how to use these techniques in their day to day life. Light homework will also be assigned to practice learned skills between sessions.
