Version : 1.17-1+nmu1 The version suffix is wrong. Fixed
- Non-maintainer upload If it's a NMU why does the RFS subject say ITA? And why are you doing this NMU? Please read https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/ch05.en.html#nmu for valid NMU reasons and the correct process.
I do not want to take this package away from Felix, but I like to use a newer upstream version and a hardened build. I opened a bug and send him an email with no response. Thats why I uploaded this nmu. ITA seems to be the best fit. In the current upload, I added myself as uploader, is this more suitable?
You shouldn't copy upstream changelogs into debian/changelog. Fixed
