DESCRIPTION top
The byte string functions perform operations on strings (byte
arrays) that are not necessarily null-terminated. See the
individual man pages for descriptions of each function.
NOTES top
The functions **bcmp**() and **bcopy**() are obsolete. Use **memcmp**() and
**memmove**() instead.
