A Pb-Cu occurrence/claim/prospect located in sec. 36, T15S, R40E, MDM, 1.7 km (1.06 mi) S of Big Dodd Spring, E of Grapevine Canyon, and 27 miles (ca. 43 km) East of Lone Pine (same ledge as the Trail claim), on National Park Service wilderness land (Death Valley National Park/Death Valley Wilderness) (located claim). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
_Eureka Claim--One-eighth of a mile south of Dodd Spring. Contained 80-foot shaft and 100 feet (ca. 30 m) of drifts. Owned by Jacob Stininger [sic] of Tule Canyon. Originally discovered in the 1880s._Greene, 1981
Mineralization is a small, oxidized contact-metamorphic deposit. The orebody strikes N and dips 70E at a width of 4.57 meters and a length of 304.8 meters. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Mojave Desert and Death Valley area).
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
