Formula:
(K3Ca2Na)[Al8Si8O32] · 12H2O
Specific Gravity:
2.270 (Calculated)
Name:
In honour of the German mineralogist and crystallographer Otto Wilhelm Flörke (02 August 1926, Gießen, Germany - 28 July 2021, Witten, Germany) and his leading contributions to microstructure, crystal-chemistry and structural state of the silica polymorphs.
A distinctly triclinic zeolite, closely related to phillipsite (monoclinic). The triclinic distortion is caused by Al-Si ordering in the crystal structure.
