Die Demokratische Front (DF, montenegr. Demokratski front / Демократски фронт) ist eine konservative Koalition, die von dem montenegrinischen Diplomaten geleitet wird. Mitglieder der Koalition sind die (NOVA), die (PzP) und die (DSJ). Hauptziel der DF ist es, die regierende Demokratische Partei der Sozialisten Montenegros (DPS) von Milo Đukanović, die seit 1991 an der Macht ist, abzulösen. Bei der Parlamentswahl im Oktober 2012 erzielte die Koalition 20 von 81 Sitzen. Bei der Präsidentschaftswahl 2013 nahm Lekić als Kandidat teil. Nach dem Wahlergebnis wurde er knapp von Amtsinhaber Filip Vujanović (von der DPS) besiegt. Lekić behauptete, dass Vujanović durch massiven Wahlbetrug zum Sieg gekommen sei. Die Parlamentswahlen 2016 ergaben 18 Sitze für die DF. Bei der Parlamentswahl in Montenegro 2020 gehörte die DF dem Wahlbündnis Za budućnost Crne Gore an. (de)
The Democratic Front (Serbo-Croatian: Демократски фронт / Demokratski front, DF) is a right-wing populist and social conservative political alliance in Montenegro. It is currently composed of the New Serb Democracy, Movement for Changes and Democratic People's Party, with some other minor parties as the alliance's partners at the local level, while United Montenegro and Workers' Party are external members of the Democratic Front parliamentary group. The alliance was formed mainly to overthrow the Democratic Party of Socialists, the party in power from the introduction of the multi-party system until the 2020 parliamentary election. (en)
