El Lahngau és una regió històrica d'Alemanya format per la conca del riu Lahn. L'anomenat comtat de Lahngau fou una jurisdicció feudal territorial de l'Imperi Carolingi però com altres noms geogràfics no corresponia (almenys no sempre) a un comtat únic sinó a una sèrie de comtats (els seus comtes s'anomenaven "comtes al Lahngau, o al "oberlahngau" o al "Niederlahngau", però no "comtes de" ).
