Mayadunne (Singalès: මායාදුන්නේ) (1501–1581) fou rei de Sitawaka que va governar 60 anys entre 1521 i 1581. Fou el cap del partit nacional singalès oposat als portuguesos que havien arribat a l'illa de Ceilan el 1505. Com que el seu germà gran Bhuvaneka Bahu, que va heretar el regne de Kotte, es va anar acostant als portuguesos, es va dedicar a lluitar contra ell i preservar la independència de Ceilan. (ca)
Mayadunne (Sinhala: මායාදුන්නේ) (1501–1581) was the King of Sitawaka, ruled the kingdom between 1521 and 1581. Mayadunne was a fierce opponent of the Portuguese, who had arrived on the island in 1505. He devoted his early life to oust his father and his whole life afterwards attempting to oust his brother Bhuvanekabahu VII, the king of Kotte and thereby preserve the independence of the island, which was being undermined by the Portuguese intrigue. He constantly invaded the territory of Bhuvanekabahu of Kotte. (en)

Fu un fiero oppositore della penetrazione coloniale portoghese nello Sri Lanka, iniziata nel 1505.
