Chris McCready's volley drew the teams level but Rose thumped in a stunning effort from 20 yards to make it 2-1. Benyon rounded it off after being teed up by Chris Zebroski, while Chris Shuker was sent off for a foul on Rose. Torquay United manager Paul Buckle told BBC Radio Devon: "What a wonderful strike from Ramone Rose, it got the crowd up, and we do need the supporters to get behind the team. "If you've watched Torquay United over the past few weeks, we create chances, we have a right go and we deserved our win.
