The Advance Sailing Telegram gives the Commodore Vessel as Menelaus. According to A. Hague, Commodore, Captain G. H. Creswell, R.N. was in Empire Canyon.

The Rescue Vessel Eddystone was on her 4th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on Febr. 22-1944 with the westbound Convoy ON 225, to Halifax March 7, then returned to Clyde with HX 283, March 15-March 28. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

Commodore's notes are not available - escorts not known.

All the Norwegian ships in this convoy are discussed on this website - use alphabet index below to find them.
