pigsty (plural pigsties)

  1. An enclosure where pigs are kept, either a building or part of one.
    Synonyms: hogpen, hogsty, pigpen, sty
    Coordinate term: (sometimes synonymous) hoghouse
    The lower pasture also contains a pigsty.
  2. (colloquial) A dirty or very untidy place.
