The design of foundation on black cotton soil (expansive soil) has always been a difficult task for the engineers. For any structure, the foundation is very important and it has to strong, to support the entire structure. The structure constructed on the black cotton soil, gives cracks without any warning. They exhibit large volumetric changes (shrinkage & swelling behavior) if moisture content changed and also problems on cracking and compressibility. Due to rapid growth of urbanization and industrialization, minimization of industrial waste is serious problem in present days. To encounter this innovative and on traditional research on waste utilization is gaining importance now days. In previous so many researchers was done studies on stabilization of soil by means of with similar materials such as cement, olive, bitumen, RHA(Rice Husk Ash),different organic wastes from agricultural lands and different industrial wastes are utilizing as a stabilizing material in geotechnical engineering has been recommended from environmental point of view. In the recent trends follow utilization of plastic wastes, fibers (Recron, steel, glass, natural and polypropylene) and geosynthetics as a reinforcing substance for enhancement of soil properties like CBR, UCS, bearing capacity etc.... In this research mostly concentrated on design of flexible pavement thickness as per the unreinforced and reinforced (reinforcement varying according to 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3% etc...) Soil sub grades. After that compare the thicknesses of pavements as per the CBRs of different sub grade conditions.

This study uses data from quarterly time series, to model and forecast exchange rates from 2005 t... more This study uses data from quarterly time series, to model and forecast exchange rates from 2005 to 2019 by employing the ARIMA methodology on the Indian Rupee / USD exchange rate. ADF Unit root tests and correlogram indicates Indian Exchange rate is a factor I (1) i.e. stationary at first difference. Study gave emphasis on the AIC criteria and examined the ARIMA (2, 4, 0) model. The chosen optimal model of the ARIMA model (2, 4, 0) shows that the Indian Rupee / USD exchange rate will increase over the 2019-2020 period, after which it will depreciate marginally in the fourth quarter of 2020 and in 2021 first quarter exchange rate of India tends to appreciate. The main policy recommendation emerging from this study is that, the Rupee should be devalued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in order to; restore the much-needed exchange rate stability and to promote domestic demand and to encourage the inflow of foreign capital.

Mainly, the traditional modified solid state synthesis technique was used to prepare the samples. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) technique was used for the structural analysis and investigations. It was common practise to use tools like scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to learn more about the morphology of prepared materials. Additionally, a photoluminescence (PL) examination of phosphor samples was reported for varying doping ion concentrations and varying excitations. CaSi2O5 generates strong blue and orange emissions when doped with Sm3+. Our research demonstrates that phosphor as-prepared may be useful for display devices, particularly for Blue & Orange content. In-depth research was done on the transitions between doping ions and the concentration quenching effect. The distribution of the spectral region determined from the PL emission spectra is shown in the 1931 CIE (x, y) chromaticity coordinates, and it is discovered that (0.20, 0.22 in the blue region, and phosphor may be helpful for application in display devices. A complete protocol for in vitro multiplication of Boswellia serrata is described. Multiple shoot... more A complete protocol for in vitro multiplication of Boswellia serrata is described. Multiple shoots were induced in vitro using cotyledonary nodes from aseptic grown seedlings. After establishment of cultures, shoot buds with mother explants were sub cultured on fresh MS medium containing BAP(0.5mg/l) and NAA (0.05mg/l). Addition of antioxidants like PVP, ascorbic acid and citric acid was essential to reduce browning in the cultures. Elongated shoots of 3-4 cm length were inoculated for rooting. Rooting was obtained on MS medium with ¼ salts containing IBA 0.5 mg/l, IAA 0.25 mg/l and 1% sucrose. Pulse treated (IBA 10mg/l) shoots were also tried for direct rooting in glass bottles. Developed roots could be seen from outside of culture bottles. Hardened plants were transferred to pots or poly bags with 70% transplantation success.

This investigation was carried out to purify & characterize alkaline protease from B. thuringiens... more This investigation was carried out to purify & characterize alkaline protease from B. thuringiensis & to optimize the conditions for maximum production of extracellular protease. The enzyme was purified by using Ammonium Sulphate Precipitation & Dialysis. The enzyme was characterized through kinetic studies by studying the effect of varying pH, temperature, different Metal ions, Carbon & Nitrogen sources and varying NaCl concentration. This study has also investigated effect of Activator & Inhibitor on enzyme activity and determined the kinetic parameter of alkaline protease. Purified alkaline protease showed maximum saturation at 80%. Optimum pH for enzyme activity was found to be 8. Temperature range of 30°C to 60°C showed the highest activity of enzyme. Alkaline protease was strongly activated by MnSO4 and inhibited by AgNO3. To study the application of alkaline protease one laboratory-based experiment was also carried out by applying alkaline protease on goat skin for dehairing. The best result was obtained, when goat skin was treated with crude enzyme in combination with Glycine-NaOH buffer at pH 10. The enzyme showed excellent dehairing property when applied on goat skin without causing any damage to skin which determined its commercial importance in leather industry. Along with dehairing, it also improved tensile strength of goat skin.

Design/methodology/approacha sample size of 50 listed firms have been used, from the year 2008 to 2016. Time series and cross sectional are the basic features on which the entire study is based upon for panel estimation. Beside it, statistical measures like ordinary least squares (OLS) model of regression and robust regression is applied to mitigate the problems related to endogeneity. Findings-The primary results shows that for financial performance measuring by ROA, ROE, ROCE, board of director's features has positive and relevant effect on financial decision and performance of the firms in our study on Indian Nifty 50 listed firms. The results also points out that in the perspective of nifty 50 listed firms, the leverage and firm size are negatively related with the financial performance of the firms. Limitations and implications of the Research-In accordance with the Indian corporate governance norms and reforms, it is obligatory for the listed companies to appoint independent directors system, by far is successful still, the regulatory and governing authorities should efficiently implement the norms of appointment of independent directors in listed companies to improve corporate governance system in India. Originality/value-Initially, in not similar fashion with the prior studies based on the developing nations, this present study interrogates the impact of features of board of directors on financial performance of Indian Nifty 50 listed firms. Thereafter, while a lot many studies applied a solitary indicator of firm financial performance, this study examines ROA, ROE and ROCE. Using the OLS estimation the present study emphasizes the endogeneity issue between firm performance and board of director's characteristics, and robust regression for mitigating the exactness of using OLS estimation.

Random sampling technique was followed while collecting data for the present work. From the analysis, it is very much clear that higher the scores of mental health go with high social intelligence. Therefore, one should emphasise on his/her mental health so that he can respond intelligently in the society.

Design/methodology/approacha sample size of 50 listed firms have been used, from the year 2008 to 2016. Time series and cross sectional are the basic features on which the entire study is based upon for panel estimation. Beside it, statistical measures like ordinary least squares (OLS) model of regression and robust regression is applied to mitigate the problems related to endogeneity. Findings-The primary results shows that for financial performance measuring by ROA, ROE, ROCE, board of director's features has positive and relevant effect on financial decision and performance of the firms in our study on Indian Nifty 50 listed firms. The results also points out that in the perspective of nifty 50 listed firms, the leverage and firm size are negatively related with the financial performance of the firms. Limitations and implications of the Research-In accordance with the Indian corporate governance norms and reforms, it is obligatory for the listed companies to appoint independent directors system, by far is successful still, the regulatory and governing authorities should efficiently implement the norms of appointment of independent directors in listed companies to improve corporate governance system in India. Originality/value-Initially, in not similar fashion with the prior studies based on the developing nations, this present study interrogates the impact of features of board of directors on financial performance of Indian Nifty 50 listed firms. Thereafter, while a lot many studies applied a solitary indicator of firm financial performance, this study examines ROA, ROE and ROCE.
