In this study, the anti-Candida and anti-Fasiola activities of Sage Herb (Salvia Officinalis) extract in comparison with anti-fungal and anti-parasite drugs were examined. The research disc diffusion method was used to study the inhibitory effects of the extract of Sage Herb (Salvia officinalis) and Miconazole, Triclabendazole and fluconazole on species of Candida Albicans and Fasciola Hpatitca, which are isolated from patients who suffered from vulvovaginal candidiasis and Fasciolasis at 25°C and 37°C. The transparent area around the manuscript discs showed that thyme extract has the most effect against Candida Albicans. The inhibitory effects of Sage Herb (Salvia Officinalis) extract on the growth of Candida and Fasciolaat 37°C were better than 25°C. The inhibitory effect of Miconazole, Triclabendazole was better than fluconazole. The results of the present study showed that Triclabendazole and Sage Herb (Salvia Officinalis) extract had inhibitory effects on the growth of Candida Albicans and Fasciola Hpatitca.

Two productive species, namely F. hepatica and Candida Albicans of the disease in terms of together morphological similarities in some of the features of a great but the differences. In this study, the presence or absence of similarity between genes raw of Antique excretory-secretory and somatic two species of the parasite and Fungi to Elisa test was evaluated. Crude antigens of both species (including excretory-secretory and SCC) developed and to use in the cold ºc-20 were kept. In the preparing the antiserum, antigens with the increasing the dose 0 / 5-2 / 5 in the five times with intervals of seven days, two rabbits were injected. Ten days after the last injection, blood and serum samples after separation, in cold 20 ° C were kept. Reaction of Crude antigen the antiserum any species with the self antiserum (homologous) and as well as antiserum other species (heterologous) evaluated by ELISA and ELISA values were recorded. When the reaction with the antiserum-antigen ELISA values of any other species in comparison with control samples showed that with the antiserum antigen any kind other species show that a strong reaction. Meaning that of antigenic cross-reactivity in ELISA two species is similar and there. However, antigens of F. hepatica and Candida Albicans with the antiserum a stronger reaction than the antiserum were found Despite the similarity between many of antigenic material of two species, some of these substances are different. F. hepatica and Candida Albicans antigenic differences between the materials is not enough to prevent cross-reaction between the two species and more research is geared in ELISA for the detection, isolation and purification of antigenic materials of any recommended.

Early diagnosis of HTLV and CMV in pregnant women is necessary to get effective treatment and prevent fetal complications. The present study aimed to assess the use of PCR and compare it with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for detection of HTLV and CMV infections in pregnant women. Materials and methods: Forty six pregnant women were included in this study ranging in age from 20-35 years selected from patients attending an outpatient clinic of the immunology and virology Department at Guilan University Hospital, over a six month period. They were tested for the presence of HTLV and CMV DNA in their blood by PCR and specific antibodies to HTLV and CMV by ELISA. The results were recorded to evaluate the best technique for detection of HTLV and CMV infection. Results: 37 (80. 4%) cases out of 46 subjects had positive results for ELISA anti HTLV and CMV (IgG) in this study, and 15 (32.6%) cases had positive results for ELISA anti HTLV and CMV (IgM). Two cases (4.3%) had positive PCR results, and 44 cases (95.7 %) were negative. Sensitivity and Specificity of ELISA IgG were 100 % and 20.6%, respectively, and IgM was 100% and 70.5% respectively when compared with PCR. Conclusion: The results suggested that screening the pregnant women for HTLV and CMV antibodies using ELISA is a specific and sensitive tool for the early identification of patients exposed to HTLV and CMV. This information can be used as an alarm for babies at high risk of developing serious disabilities.

Because of this reason and clinical protests of infected patients to this virus caused by reducing levels of their immune, the aim of this study was to detect the CMV virus quickly and check the accuracy of the two methods of Real-Time PCR and cytochemical in immunocompromised people for HCMV defects. Materials and methods: 100 blood samples were collected from immunocompromised persons in Tehran. Real-Time PCR and cytochemical staining were used as the two methods for detecting HCMV. The first method was based on the TaqMan and the second one, on characterizing cell morphological identification. Results: The positive PCR test results were 36% between 40 cases and 21% between 35 cases for cytochemical. It was also found that the maximum prevalence occurred in the summer with 34% and the minimum with 22% that belongs to the autumn. However, a significant relationship didn't observe between the prevalence of HCMV and the season. Conclusion: The results showed that, with an accurate Real-Time PCR, we can recognize HCMV immunocompromised people. But cytochemical stain method can be used along with this method for the final confirmation and for a better diagnosis. It was also found that, the highest rate of HCMV infection, either latent or active form, is related to the fall season, but this association was not significant.
